  • My partner Angela and I stayed with friends at Michel's pad in Prenzlauer Berg for a week and it is the perfect location from which to experience the cafe culture in Berlin - in fact Prenzlauer Berg proved to be our favourite area of the city. Not as grungy as Kruezberg or Fredrichshain perhaps, but a wonderful part of the old DDR that has clearly flourished into a very desirable neighbourhood - just what a group of mellowing 30+ year olds were looking for. That said, we still found excellent night life there and a cool little indie nightclub called Duncker near by the apartment to relive our teenage years. Michel's apartment is trendy, functional and very clean and gave us a real sense of what living in this wonderful city must be like, a fantastic experience that was altogether different from the separation of staying in a hotel. Check in with Anne was effortless and Michel was also prompt at responding to queries about the apartment. Sorry we didn't get to meet you Michel, but anyone who has Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (one of my all time favourite movies) in his DVD collection is definitely a man after my own heart. With all my heart I would recommend Michel's apartment as the ideal place from which to visit and explore Berlin - we had a wonderful time.

  • really beautiful apartment, great location, lovely cafes and shops, handy transport links. perfect for my husband and I our baby girl and my parents. Michel couldn't have been more helpful. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family.

  • Our stay in Michel's apartment was great. The apartment was exactly as in the pictures, very clean, confortable and fully equipped. The area was really nice and quite with a lot of good restaurants from around the workd and very cosy cafés, close to the center and well connected. The metro station was a bit farer than expected but, anyway, everything was great. We didn't meet Michel because of our late arrival and early departure but it hasn't been a problem at all since he was joinable by e-mail any time. I completely recommend this apartment for 2 couples that look for a quite stay in berlin just to enjoy the city.

  • My friend and I had a wonderful stay in Michel and Anna's apartment. It's a lovely neighborhood, well situated for being in Berlin, with good restaurants and cafés all around. Michel and Anna were helpful and communication was seamless. The apartment is clean, quiet, bright and with everything you would need. I will certainly come back.

  • Michel's apartment was beyond amazing. It was clean, super cute (exactly like the pics if not better), and he was very communicative. His apartment made a great home base after a day of sight seeing. The neighborhood it is located in is filled with restaurants, bars, a grocery store and close to the M10 Tram and about a 10 minute walk to the Ubahn. My friends and I also found a favorite hang out around the corner, November a cute restaurant with delicious German food. I would definitely stay here again if I ever make my way back to Berlin.

  • Michel and Anne's apartment is the best place to visit Berlin or work in Berlin. The area is perfect to visit (U2), it's beautiful, quiet. A place not to miss. We will return for sure. I even sent friends

  • The apartment is spacious and has a nice atmosphere. It was very clean. The neighbourhood has a lot of nice restaurants. We had luxury breakfasts in the cafe on the opposite side of the street and at the corner of the Kollwitzerstrasse.

  • Stayed at the apartment for 30 + days and it was just perfect. It has a Central location, it's recently renovated and clean. Overall, a super nice place.

I'd go back anytime and definitely recommended to anyone.

  • This is the kind of experience that makes airbnb so great. We stayed in early November with our 18 month old kid. The apt looks exactly like the photos, clean, sunny, and spotless. Plenty of space. Kitchen is clean and all new appliances. For kids, the high chair and pack&play are a nice touch. It is in a fantastic area of Prenzlauer Berg with lots of great restaurants within a 5 minute walk (Lebanese, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Spanish within 1 block), 2 nearby supermarkets, and easy transport options to the rest of Berlin. Very walkable city and if you prefer to walk you can get to the Museuminsel in 25 minutes. Michel communicates nearly instantly and made the process as smooth as can be. As others have mentioned, this is a 3rd floor walkup (4th floor in US numbering) in a nice quiet building. Overall, would definitely stay again and give the highest possible ratings to the apt and Michel. Thanks!
