We had a lovely time staying here. It was our first holiday away with our 6 month old and the experience couldn't have been better. Joe himself was away the afternoon we arrived so his son Colin greeted us and gave us a tour and let us in on different activities available in the area. There was fresh bread and homemade jam waiting for us. Joe let us know in advance that he had set up a cot so we didn't have to bring our own.
We were only about ten minutes by car from Wexford town so it was a great area and there were lots of places within a short driving distance to see with our little man. Great experience overall and I would recommend it to anyone.
We had the most wonderful time, we stayed (sadly) only for one night but the place is amazing and they thought of everything. We were greeted by Colin who told us about things to do in the area. The house was sparkling! We got home made jam and bread the fridge had freshly squeezed OJ, such a lovely touch. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks for a lovely stay -Jen, Laura and Ben
Great house! We had a lovely stay at Joe's place. His son Colin made us feel very welcome. The house was clean and very comfortable, and has everything you need for a great stay.
Joe was on the end of the phone helping me find my way there , it takes a bit of finding as most places in Ireland! A great welcome with homemade jam, scones milk and orange juice!
Comfy bed and fresh cotton linen, well equipped kitchen
Do ask Joe to tell you about "THE WALK" nearby, amazing place , canyons and lake! I had my dog with me and Joe was so welcoming and let her play in the garden with his dogs, it makes a real difference to have such a friendly welcome, thanks you and it is great if you take the Rosslaire ferry
Joe gave great directions and was a wonderful, helpful host with a beautiful place to stay. The homemade bread and jam and juice were so very good. His recommendation on where to eat worked so well too. Great to meet him and share stories, lovely place, can't wait to return!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Joe’s place because he made us feel so welcome right from the beginning. He was always availabe if we had any questions about the area and gave some helpful tips about where to go to enjoy the local attractions. He directed us to a nearby village where we found interesting restaurants and great pub. His apartment is quite spacious by European standards and the bed was very comfortable. The location is in the country away from any city noise or traffic - so it is a restful place. Also, he is located just down the road from a talented potter and artist, where we were able to visit the artist in his studio and do some shopping for gifts to bring back home. We arrived as ‘strangers’ and left as ‘friends’. Thanks, Joe! I hope we can come back sometime in the future.
Scenic and relaxing location, windy but beautiful drive there! Very clean with almost everything you need and a very large 2 story living area! Super friendly host that went above and beyond!
