My boyfriend Danny and I had a great stay with the warmest of welcome. Freshly baked bread, homemade jam& homemade lemonade"American style"!! A real nice gesture. Thankyou joe . Such a cosy little place, much bigger than expected! The fire was a little heaven in the evenings and the bed was so comfy we didn't want to leave! The area is great we explored the beach which was about 12k from wexford town .. Stunning. We will be back for sure as was perfect for our weekend retreat
We loved staying at Joe and Edith's. The fire burning for us when we arrived was just lovely and Joe even had roses on the table for valentines weekend! There are so many lovely touches to the apartment and it was so peaceful. Joe also had home made bread and jam for us when we arrived. Then there's Joe! A delightful, funny, New Yorker/Wexfordian who was a pleasure to chat with. I would highly recommend staying here and we would love to return too!
Joe was a wonderful host! He had mulled wine and a fire waiting for us when we arrived, along with freshly squeezed orange and homemade bread and jam! His house was lovely and cosy and in a great location. There are some lovely scenic trails for walking and cycling. The sea being only about half hour walk away and the town was about ten mins in a car. We would definitely recommend this listing and would of loved to have stayed for longer!
We'll be back soon! Thanks Joe!! :D
The apartment is quite new and well furnished. You have all the kitchen utensils need if you want to cook. Joe is a great host, he even fired up the wood stove for us in the evenings before we got back since winter nights can be quite chilly. The area is rural and very beautiful. Within a short 10 minute walk there is a small lake with beautiful views and clear water, looks like a great place to swim in the summer.
Great place for couple or if you have children and want to use it as a base for day trips around Ireland.
Nice and close to Wexford. Defiantly a bit of a retreat, hard to find in the dark with no named roads and being out in the bush a bit, Luckily Joe sent a friend to meet us and guide us there. The place was really nice.
As we were there over christmas Joe and his wife left us a little Christmas present and some mulled wine on the fire which was really thoughtful.
Thanks for having us.
Joe's place was absolutely perfect for our week long stay near Wexford. The apartment was clean, bright and spacious for our family of four. We were able to drive to Wexford Town in less than 10 minutes, or enjoy a stroll down the peaceful lanes surrounding the property. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at Joe's patch of heaven and would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to others.
