Interaction with Guests
Sherlock, Wesley and I welcome guests on arrival. Serve breakfast in the morning. Beyond that, a good host, like good bartender, senses when to interact, get involved or leave the guest alone! Guests can find me in person, call or text (my intercom!). I am busy, come and go a lot, but always reachable. Live and work mostly at home in the house. Any of 3 daytime cleaning staff might be on site, as needed.
This Artisan Ohio City neighborhood is one of the nation's top 10 when it comes to food and drink. Urban, historic, trendy. Crop Bistro is grand, Flying Fig best a female chef and owner along with it's superb atmosphere and food, Momocho serves Mod Mex in an old saloon looking place and is always packed, Orale offers a different take on contemporary Mexican. Banana Blossom is my Thai place. All the Breweries also compete for best burgers and pub food. Mitchell's Ice Cream! All a walk away.
Walk, walk walkable! Suburban guest sometimes can not believe it! Many park their car on arrival and leave it. Public bus, train, eat, drink, 1-2 blocks; downtown conference, Indians game, 30 min walk across majestic bridge, 5 min drive, one mile. Call cab. 17 miles from airport by car or train. Also, shuttles from neighborhood to Indians stadium.

James is a great host and I really enjoyed my time staying at Clifford House. He made me and other guests who were staying there extremely welcome and the room was great: clean, lots of space and a wonderful place to come back to after a day out exploring Cleveland. The house is lovely and is even mentioned on the Cleveland trolley tour as an important house in the story of Ohio City! The local area is the best neighbourhood in Cleveland for brewpubs and restaurants. and has a fascinating historic market. I would heartily recommend staying with James at Clifford House!
I've been hosted by a very kind person, so kind that he might propose you to drive you to your destination in Cleveland (il he goes in same direction). James is very funny and very very very welcoming. I was in Cleveland for professional reasons: I've never beed disturbed by anyone in my big and calm room with its own bathroom. I've been thrilled by James and his service goy (called Hollywood). If the house is 30 minutes' walk from downtown, it is located in a great area: shops, restaurants : every thing is close;-) Enjoy you stay and say hello to James on my part!
I was very pleased to stay here. It was very clean spacious and cosy. My room was quiet big and the decor was exquisite. The host Jim, was also very nice and welcoming, he made great breakfast for the guest every morning and we all sat around the table to eat. This created a good feel of community at the bnb and it was very nice!

Upfront, honest, direct. Like nice things and good food but not pretentious. Art theater, food, swimming, people are favoriyte subjects. The Cleveland Internationl Film Festival is my favorite even of the year.
