If you will stay in our apartment you will be quite close to the touristy sights, restaurants and clubs, but in a calm, silent and safe neighbourhood.
It's 5 minutes walk from the National Museum, from the Great Synagogue, and it takes the same time to reach M2, M3, and the recently built M4 subway (metro) and other public transport services.

The apartment is 30 square metres large, with a 10 square metres sleeping gallery added. The open spaces give you the feeling of roominess. There is also a comfortable kitchen with a diner, a library room, and a work-corner.
On the entrace floor can be found the bathroom with shower - the washing mashine is placed separately - but on the sleeping gallery there is a bathtub, freely in space, as it does not serve your getting yourself clean, but your pleasure only. Electric floor-heating ensures steady pleasant temperature in the flat. Air conditioner is not needed because of the special characteristics of the building. The 80 centimetres wide brick walls and the refined natural ventillation do not let the apartment become hot, even in summertime. The flat reflects the lavander-feeling of the Mediterranean, when suddenly you discover the fresco of the inner space. The work of the contemporary painter, recalling the world of the famous ruin-pubs of Pest, spills over the 3x4 metres wall of the library-den, and fills the whole room.
Besides the double bed in the sleeping gallery, in the library-room - which can be separated by a curtain, there is an optional sleeping place for 2 additional persons.
The apartment - which is located in the Palace Quarter - was bought some years ago by an interior designer, who demolished and rebuilt according to her own taste and needs. The main aim of the planning was to achieve an open, practical and comfortable space.
The apartment is the current home of the owner, who is spending part of her time abroad and during these periods the apartment can be rented for guests. But the family photos remain on the walls, a lot of books, and personal belongings are giving you the feeling that spending some days there you are a welcome guest!
This is an independent apartment, there are almost no rules, however, we are asking you a few things during your stay. These are the following:
Please do not smoke in the apartment.
There is a smoking place located outside the entrance of the apartment.
There is a green garden in the courtyard where you may smoke.
There are seats and table during the summer for your comfort.
No pets allowed.
In order to achieve environmental awareness, there is selective waste collection in our building. We would be grateful if you helped us to do so!
The building has yellow waste bins for collecting metal and plastic, and blue bins to collect paper. The green bins are for unsorted waste.
Clean flat, sheets and towels are provided for our guests. No cleaning is made during there stay here, this way we can ensure a favourable price for a week or month. However, if you are booking for a longer time and would like the sheets and towels changed and the appartment cleaned each week, we are willing to do so at an additional cost of $15 in each case. Please let us know such a demand before booking and then we shall quote the price accordingly.
And the most important: feel yourself at home, live your life, and enjoy being here! :)
Tks Kata !!
Very friendly and professional person.
We had a wonderful time in Budapest! Kata was very welcoming and gave us a detailed introduction to the key sights in Budapest when we arrived. The flat itself is lovely. The design is gorgeous, and the thought and care that went into making it such a comfortable and homey space is evident. Location is also great-it's a quick walk to the central bar&restaurant area; in fact we walked everywhere, only using the metro once the whole weekend. I'd happily stay here again!
The flat is very central and immaculate and very well designed and practical.Kata , our host is not only a very kind super host but she is also a very qualified tourist guide who is always reachable and ready to help and guide you in the most efficient and professional manner!! Kata and the flat she manages are a must rent and see in Budapest!! We will come back! Thank you Kata !
The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, clean and centrally located. Kata was very helpful with us, she provided us with directions, suggestions, tips and maps of the city.
We had a fantastic time at Kata's place. It was warm and cosy and just the place you would want to return to after a day of exploring the beautiful city that is Budapest. Everything you need is catered for down to the spice racks on the wall if you want to give the fantastic restaurants in Budapest a break. We would recommend it to anyone.
Kata was just as helpful as all of the previous reviews mentioned as she showed us the map of the city and talked us through the best bits.
Thank you for hosting us, we look forward to coming back.
Kata was a perfect host. Very informative and helpful. The space, not sure what I can say other then it is magical. Perfect location that leaves you in the best location for exploring the city and such a unique space that you still cannot wait to get home. Loved Budapest and this place only helped solidify that love.

Besides the well-known sights we could show our guests the real face of Budapest. The apartments of a XIX. century house are being modernized by us to meet XXI. century demands.
Kata is the one who is responsible for your comfort during your stay, she acts as a host for the guests and she can be contacted with any problem.
She is a licensed and professional tourist guide so you can ask her anything about Hungary and Budapest.
Kata is a true budapester and was born here and spent most of her life here in the capital of Hungary. She is a tourist guide and her mission is to host here foreign people, to make their stay comfortable and help them discover the city and our country and to show them our cultural heritages. Her profession is her passion as well, so don't hesitate to ask her anything while you are here.
As she is realy into culinary delights and enjoys cooking hungarian meals as well you have the option to have a "hungarian meal cooking lesson" and learn more about our cuisine.
We are at your disposal concerning the planning of special programs and we do our best to ensure that our guests should enjoy their stay with us.
We hope that you will have lots of fun here and enjoy your stay in our beloved city!
