It's 5 minutes walk from the National Museum, from the Great Synagogue, and it takes the same time to reach M2 and M3 subway (metro) and other public transport services.

The apartment is 30 square metres large, with a 10 square metres sleeping gallery added. The open spaces give you the feeling of roominess. There is also a comfortable kitchen with a diner, a library room, and a work-corner.
On the entrace floor can be found the bathroom with shower - the washing mashine is placed separately - but on the sleeping gallery there is a bathtub, freely in space, as it does not serve your getting yourself clean, but your pleasure only. Electric floor-heating ensures steady pleasant temperature in the flat. Air conditioner is not needed because of the special characteristics of the building. The 80 centimetres wide brick walls and the refined natural ventillation do not let the apartment become hot, even in summertime. The flat reflects the lavander-feeling of the Mediterranean, when suddenly you discover the fresco of the inner space. The work of the contemporary painter, recalling the world of the famous ruin-pubs of Pest, spills over the 3x4 metres wall of the library-den, and fills the whole room.
Besides the double bed in the sleeping gallery, in the library-room - which can be separated by a curtain, there is an optional sleeping place for 2 additional persons.
The apartment - which is located in the Palace Quarter - was bought some years ago by an interior designer, who demolished and rebuilt according to her own taste and needs. The main aim of the planning was to achieve an open, practical and comfortable space.
The apartment is the current home of the owner, who is spending part of her time abroad and during these periods the apartment can be rented for guests. But the family photos remain on the walls, a lot of books, and personal belongings are giving you the feeling that spending some days there you are a welcome guest!

A very functional and efficient flat. The two beds were entirely separated, giving my friend and I excellent privacy at bedtime. We cooked with ease on the new ceramic stove and the washing machine was a huge bonus.
What an incredible apartment! We stayed here on a pre-Christmas break and we absolutely loved the place. The apartment is stylish, cosy and homely, we really didn't want leave at the end of our trip. Its a spacious, airy and comfortable living space ingeniously designed into a 30m2 footprint, but most importantly it feels like you're staying in someone's home, such a nice place to return home to at the end of a great day wandering and feasting in my new favourite city, Budapest.
The apartment has pretty much everything a casual visitor could want. The bed is comfy and the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped. We stayed in late November and the place was warm yet airy and while we never felt cold its not stuffy so we slept very well each night. The sitting room is incredible, the photos don't do it justice, its a small room but with a really high ceiling so very hard to photograph. The walls are painted with a great mural and there are bookshelves bursting with interesting looking books, I spent every evening chilling out there with a glass of wine after a "hard day" of exploring, eating an drinking.
The location is perfect, its close to everywhere a tourist could want on the Pest side, and is close to 3 metro stops so the whole of the city is at your disposal. There's a nice little convenience store next door and the area around the apartment is safe with plenty of good bars and restaurants. Even up to our last afternoon we were still finding cool little shops, bars and cafes.
Yakov was a great host and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and when he was unable to, his lovely mum came to help.
To conclude, I would honestly recommend this apartment (and believe me I have bored my friends silly recommending it ☺) so if you are going to Budapest please do stay here, it will be as much of a talking point when you get home as anything you experience in this fantastic city.
One word...amazing! Perfect apartment in a perfect location. As soon as we arrived Yakov was waiting for our arrival and quickly shown us around the apartment and some of the best places to go. The apartment is very well designed and very modern with everything you need, literally everything. We loved the upstairs part and the small "chill room" as we called it. We didn't want to leave! Yakov was a great host and a very nice guy who helped us make the most of our short trip in Budapest. The location was perfect for us as it wasn't far at all from the river and main attractions. We are already planning our trip back for 5 days next Summer, hopefully in the same apartment! Thanks Yakov
Yakov's apartment was awesome! Such a great neighborhood - close to a ton of great bars and restaurants (check out Raday utca). It's also very centrally located so we were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to visit. The apartment was quiet for being so close to everything too
Not to mention Yakov is the best host. He waited around for us when we were delayed transiting from the airport, despite it being St Istvan's day, and even greeted us with a bottle of wine! He was very easy to communicate with through email. We could not have been more lucky to have such a wonderful place and a great host to visit this beautiful city. Thanks Yakov!
We had a great time in Budapest. Even though we arrived late, Yakov still welcomed us at the appartment. The weather was super hot, but the appartment stayed relatively cool, which was very nice. The location is very good, close to the Jewish quarter where there is lots see and many bars and restaurants. All in all a very enjoyable trip!
It was our first time to be airbnb-guests, and the experience was really good! Yakov is very welcoming hostess, hir apartment is nice, full of many details which make it very cosy. We easy get to the center of the city. We don't hesitate to recomend Yakovs apartment as the place to stay in Budapest.
My friend and I enjoyed our comfortable stay in Yakov's apartment. It is very impressively designed and in a great location. We are so glad that we chose to stay there rather than in a hotel.
Yakov is a friendly guy and is very knowledgeable about Budapest so he can recommend lots of things for you to do and see while you are visiting.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I had a great stay in Budapest and Yakov was extremely helpful. He had forgotten to turn on the hot water, but switching it on was no problem. The apartment is quaint, cozy, and quite nice. The entire place is lit with accent lights giving it a very nice ambience, though it means many switches upon leaving and entering. It is well located and in a safe neighborhood. A very nice stay.
