Close to the airport, Alberta, Hollywood, Concordia, and Mississippi Districts, this loft studio is perfect for tiny house living in the city. Queen Tuft & Needle bed in the loft is reachable via custom-crafted ladder. The main floor has a fully-functional kitchen with a whimsical vintage stove and reclaimed touches. The spacious bathroom includes tub/shower combo with subway tile. The seating area includes room for a queen sofa bed and small dining table - try tiny house living here!

The space
I recently converted my garage into a tiny house that's perfect for two people. A queen mattress in the sleeping loft upstairs looks out over the sitting and dining areas below. The sofabed becomes a very comfortable queen bed and the dining area nearby is perfect for working or enjoying a home-cooked meal from your fully-functional kitchen. Best part about the unit is its proximity to fun parts of town and the private outdoor seating area - marijuana friendly!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire loft studio and the small, private yard in front of the unit for hanging out.

Parking is available at no charge along the street in front of the house.

Other things to note
Fawn, is my dog. She lives in my backyard. You might see her peeping her nose under the fence but she's not allowed in the studio and won't be interacting with guests very often.

I live in the back of the house which is only accessible via the path that also leads to the tiny homes entrance. So you may hear (or see me) walk past on my way to the yard.

There is no washer/dryer available. Check out Spin nearby for full-service laundry plus food, coffee and even beer/wine - and free soap!

There is NO TV.

Ants are pretty common around Portland and often seek respite from rain and heat in the tiny house. To keep the house free from chemicals, I don’t attempt to exterminate them. Traps have been set to deter them for your comfort, but you may still see some on occasion.

Neighborhood highlights

Located in the NE Cully neighborhood adjacent to Concordia, Alberta, and Fremont. I love my 'hood because it feels like the country in the city yet we are so centrally located.

Nearby places to explore:
-- Alberta Arts: 5 minutes So much to do here! Endless shopping, more coffee, more yummy food, on and on. You could spend a whole day walking around Alberta. Be sure to check out the Last Thursday celebration during the summer months.
-- Concordia neighborhood: 5 minutes Here we have New Seasons (a great grocery store with loads of organic/healthy food options), McMenamins Kennedy School (cheap movies, bars, AND a outdoor soaking pool, Common Ground (clothing optional hot tub and sauna), yoga, amazing restaurants like Yakuza, DOC, and Beast (just to name a few). And a fantastic coffee shop: Extracto.
-- Downtown: 20 minutes Shopping, dining and breweries plus art, museums and fun!
-- Fremont neighborhood: 5 minutes Some attractions are Grand Central Bakery, more restaurants, hot yoga, a great wine bar and boutiques
-- Mississippi District: 15 minutes Delicious dining and fun shops
-- Multnomah Falls: 30 minutes Breathtaking waterfall with a short walk or a steep hike to the top
-- NE 42nd: 3 minutes Some things to do and see include the Spare Room (bingo and karaoke anyone?), Delphinas Bakery, NEPO42, plus much more.
-- PDX Airport: 10 minutes To the best airport in the US!
-- Willamette Vallery wineries (there are quite a few): 1 hour - the town of Dundee has a ton of tasting rooms and is a good place to explore
