Stay in this cheerful, design forward 2BR apt that we created just for AirBnB. We added touches that we wish were in all of the places we stay, like a washer/dryer, a jambox, comfy beds, nice shampoo, and robes from India. BTW, this location rocks.
-bright, cheerful, deliberately decorated space
-2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed, 1 with a queen bed)
-newly renovated with all new appliances
-full kitchen with dishwasher/disposal

-awesome location above a tea shop and juice bar, and across the street from a great coffee shop
-second floor walk-up (no elevator access)
-central air and individualized climate control
-clawfoot bathtub for soaking
-full-size malin+goetz bath products
Guests have access to the entire apartment, which is on a floor with six other long-term tenants. Guests can also use the communal outdoor patio down the hall.
Interaction with Guests
We will be present to hand off keys when we are in town (we live across the street in an old firehouse). If neither of us are available, we will leave the keys to the apartment downstairs with the owners of the tea shop or with someone who helps to manage the property.
Hingetown is a fabulous part of the Ohio City neighborhood in Cleveland, and (email hidden) to explore. There is a contemporary art gallery across the street, an indoor cycling/spin studio down the street in the same building, and lots of other community-focused amenities. We are sure you'll love it as much as we do.
We will supply two folding bikes for your use during your stay. There are multiple bus lines less than a block away to take you to downtown or the east side, and we are a 7-minute walk from the heart of the Market District in Ohio City, where there is a Rapid station. Getting here from the airport is easiest by taxi, which will take about 20 minutes and cost less than $30. You can also take the Rapid and walk if you prefer.
Other Things to Note
We've teamed up with two dynamic local artists whose art is displayed on the walls. All the art is for sale!
-No smoking in the apartment
-No pets allowed (sorry!)
-$25 one-time cleaning fee added to the bill
What a wonderful space and great location! While we didn't get the chance to meet Graham and Marika during our stay, they were great hosts and prompt in their responses. I highly recommend checking out Cleveland Tea Revival, Beet Jar, and Jukebox (all directly downstairs) during your stay. Josh from Jukebox came to our rescue - I didn't realize until late that the airbnb was without a hair dryer. While at Jukebox, I asked him about the closest 24-hour store so I could go out and buy one. He actually lent me his own personal hairdryer! What a gem. He's also very knowledgeable of the area - I recommend paying him a visit during your stay. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone staying in Cleveland.
Graham and Marika were helpful throughout the whole process and expedient in their responses. The neighborhood and location of the listing was wonderful. We found it so easy to get to a lot of major highlights in Cleveland like Severance Hall and the art museum and the immediate neighborhood was charming.
Excellent spot for a weekend adventure! Clean and spacious apartment. Owners are part of a community, so you are welcomed by many of the local businesses including a flower shop, tea shop, and a few others which all have colorful and engaging characters. A quick walk/drive to Tremont and Ohio City. Lots of food, drink, and art options are quickly accessible. Street parking is safe and easy. Would 100% use the spot again.
Apartment is gorgeous, bed is very comfortable! The neighborhood has lots to offer, and the spot is ideal if you don't have a car during your stay because you have many dining/drinking options in the immediate vicinity.
We had a blast staying in Hingetown. The place was awesome - super clean and very cool with exposed brick walls. The area was also really fun to explore. I think we ate at every food place around, and they were all delicious & very welcoming. We were also amazed at how close we were to the city. We were downtown and parked in only 5 minutes. We would definitely come back and stay at the same place. Overall a great experience.
We loved the cozy apartment! For a moment we were a tad shocked that there was no tv lol pathetic, but true. However there is so much to do close by that it wasn't an issue. We got all the extra sleep we needed in the comfortable bed. The grocery store close to 25th st. stocked the fridge nicely for us. Hope to come back sometime and go have dinner over in little Italy.
We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment! The coffee place across the street is excellent so definitely check it out! We were celebrating a birthday and Graham and Marika were very sweet and helped kick off the weekend by leaving a happy birthday card for us! We visited a few breweries and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which was really fun! Our best meal was at the Black Pig, delicious! Looking forward to visiting again when it is warmer so that we can bike to the close destinations.
We are designers and neighborhood developers who live in an old firehouse in Hingetown with our dog Gracey. We love traveling, and we stay in Air BnB's whenever we can.
