This hand-built, light and cozy studio is called the ‘The Nest’ (380 sf). The Nest is the guest house of a local artist Betsy Wolfston and her partner Michael who live next door on the property.
The space is pretty much one large room with a beautiful and simple separate bathroom. A kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, small refrigerator and dishes, and a few coffee and tea choices. Sleeping accommodations are a queen size bed in its own nook and a pull out sofa bed. The Nest has a very cozy gas/wood stove - perfect for Oregon rainy weather - ceiling fan, DVD/TV player, ipod docking stereo, and all original artwork. It also has its own porch/deck with table, umbrella and chairs and gas grill for you to enjoy the outdoors. Wifi access of course!
Situated in the heart of downtown Eugene, it is an easy one plus mile walk to the University of Oregon and the Hult Performing Arts Center. One of the best bakeries in town - Sweet Life - is four blocks away. The Nest is located on the east/west bike path and is one block to a couple of different bus stops. We have easy out front parking and are conveniently located in a friendly, quiet and safe neighborhood. The Nest is artistic in its hand crafted details - a very relaxing and warm home away from home. We pride ourselves in its impeccable cleanliness - only green cleaning products are used. We also subscribe to the Green Power option of our local utility.
$95 per night for two people. There is an extra charge for more than two people. Weekly and monthly rates are available - please contact us for information. We are pet friendly - with extra cleaning fee and damage deposit.
Special rates apply for home U of O games, track events, and some festivals.
We had a great first time airbnb experience at the Nest! It was a great cozy space with lots of privacy. We had everything we needed (and more!) and Michael & Betsy were easy to communicate with.
We would definitely stay again!
Betsy and Michael's cottage was the ideal place from which to explore Eugene for a couple of days. Communication prior to arrival was easy and efficient, they were very gracious and friendly in person and gave us a number of excellent recommendations for the neighborhood. The cottage is pleasant, light, with many personal touches and feels more spacious than the square footage would suggest. Would definitely like to visit again.
What a beautiful little cottage. It was quiet and clean and had everything I needed! Hope I can stay there every time I'm in Eugene!
The Nest is an AMAZING place to stay. Its really close to everything in Eugene. I didnt get to meet Betsy but Michael was very welcoming and had some tips as to where to grab a beer and dinner the first night that we were there their dog was very nice too. I would say to anyone that was going to Eugene to stay at The Nest!!! Thank you for letting us stay there if we are ever back to Eugene we will for sure be booking a couple of nights here.
The Nest is very cute, located in a nice neighborhood and provided all I need for my business week in Eugene. The hosts were particularly easy to communicate and also gave me the privacy I was looking for. I felt really comfortable and I will be back for sure!
