About this listing
This hand-built, light and cozy studio is called the ‘The Nest’ (380 sf). The Nest is the guest house of a local artist Betsy Wolfston and her partner Michael who live next door on the property.
The space is pretty much one large room with a beautiful and simple separate bathroom. A kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, small refrigerator and dishes, and a few coffee and tea choices. Sleeping accommodations are a queen size bed in its own nook and a pull out sofa bed. The Nest has a very cozy gas/wood stove - perfect for Oregon rainy weather - ceiling fan, DVD/TV player, ipod docking stereo, and all original artwork. It also has its own porch/deck with table, umbrella and chairs and gas grill for you to enjoy the outdoors. Wifi access of course!
Situated in the heart of downtown Eugene, it is an easy one plus mile walk to the University of Oregon and the Hult Performing Arts Center. One of the best bakeries in town - Sweet Life - is four blocks away. The Nest is located on the east/west bike path and is one block to a couple of different bus stops. We have easy out front parking and are conveniently located in a friendly, quiet and safe neighborhood. The Nest is artistic in its hand crafted details - a very relaxing and warm home away from home. We pride ourselves in its impeccable cleanliness - only green cleaning products are used. We also subscribe to the Green Power option of our local utility.
$95 per night for two people. There is an extra charge for more than two people. Weekly and monthly rates are available - please contact us for information. We are pet friendly - with extra cleaning fee and damage deposit.
Special rates apply for home U of O games, track events, and some festivals.
The Nest was located in a very convenient part of town. Near a coffee shop, a quick drive or bike ride to campus or downtown. Check in & out was very easy and communication with Michael & Betsy was quick. The Nest itself was sooooo cozy! The bed has a down blanket and pillows and the mattress itself was very comfortable. It has everything you need. I would highly recommend it!
Michael and Bert greeted us upon our arrival. The Nest is a beautiful small guest house located in a quiet neiborhood a couple blocks from the fair grounds. It was very clean with lots of amenities.
We enjoyed our stay! Our hosts were wonderful and ready to help if we needed anything. The unit was comfortable and well equipped, we will stay again. We loved the convenient location. We brought our bikes and there was a good place outside the unit to lock them up. We will stay again.
This is a lovely place to stay in a centrally located, yet quiet, area of Eugene. It was very convenient for the University and for the Sweet Life Bakery (which was incredible). There was never an issue parking. Our hosts came and said "Hi" once and then let us do our own thing, they were very charming and friendly. The surrounding neighborhood is full of pretty houses and lovely trees and there are lots of conveniences close by. The actual nest was perfect for two people and had a nice private bathroom and a separate kitchen area and a nice outside seating area (which we didn't use as our trip was very busy registering at U of O).
Super cozy & perfect way to get a feel of living the good life in Eugene. Thanks you two!
The Nest was such a sweet place to stay. The courtyard was beautiful! We were so busy with the wedding we didn't really get a chance to enjoy the property in the daytime. The location was amazing. Right downtown and close to everything. The apartment was adorable. So corky and cute with everything we needed for our stay! Thank you both so much! We wish we had gotten the chance to meet you!
The Nest was a great place to stay. The cottage was cozy but had enough space for two to stretch out in. The neighborhood was pefect--we walked to coffee shops, a growler station, breakfast and dinner restaurants. Michael was very inviting and let us keep to ourselves as we requested.
