About this listing
***I am a familly man who lives every second week with my two daughters, 16 and 10 years old.
We share the kitchen and bathroom.***
We live in the very center of Copenhagen, very near to all transport means. 20 mn from the airport with a direct metro to Nørreport station, which again is at a 7 mn walking distance to my place. You can walk in 2 mn to the lakes and you will find a beautiful park just around the street corner. It takes 5 mn to walk to the City Hall. The flat lyes on the ground floor with access to a big great garden. Though in the Center of Copenhagen, the place is very quiet. You don't hear cars and the neighborhood is quiet. The room is very light with view to the garden. It is situated towards south so you get the sun the most part of the day, if we are lucky to have a sunny day :-)
The adjacent street is called 'Little Paris', it has a nice atmosphere with few bars and restaurants. It takes 15 mn walking distance to the main cinemas, Tivoli and all the main attractions.
It is possible to rent bikes on the next street and you will find a supermarket open everyday until 9PM. Just great !
* A baby bed can be provided if needed for an extra 100 Dkr charge.*
We like you to feel home. Welcome.
You have access to the kitchen and bathroom. You can use the washing machine and let your clothes dry in our common drying room.
Interaction with Guests
I do respect my guests privacy but also enjoy good discussions. I enjoy as well when possible to sit around the table and share meals.
The neighborhood is great. It is a well-known area with good restaurants and cafes. It is as well a quiet and charming area.
You can find close by all means of transport e.g trains, metros, buses only few minuttes away.
No smoking inside the apartment.
The stay with Bertrand was wonderfull. The apartment is close to everything in the city and very quiet. I would defenitely recommend it & we will go there again when we will be in Copenhagen
Everything was perfect for our visit. The apartment was like being at home, with even nicer surroundings!
Great restaurants were everywhere, and it was super easy to walk everywhere from Bertrand's home.
Highly recommend this location for any visitor!
Staying with Bertrand is one of my best Airbnb experiences anywhere in the world. First, he's a gracious and attentive host - sending me exact directions from the airport to his place - and while there we had breakfast a few mornings (great coffee!) and he provided tips, and even maps, of things to do in and near in Copenhagen. I speak French, so mostly we conversed in French, but at times we did in English, so no worries if you don't speak French, his English is superb. Second, you couldn't ask for a better location. It's right in the heart of the old city, a block from a beautiful park with a pond, and a 5-7 minute walk from the Norreport train and metro station (that takes you direct to the airport and other locations in Denmark), and a 10 minute walk to the city's Central Train station. It's safe and quiet at night! Third, the guest room is so cozy and inviting, with many interesting artistic artifacts he's collected from around the world, and the bed - wow, the bed - was SOOO comfortable - top hotel quality, really - I slept like a lamb each night. Bedroom windows look on to an interior courtyard with trees, so quiet and soothing. Bathroom was immaculately clean, easy to use shower. A few blocks away there's a bike rental shop too for touring the city on bike (it's like $10 a day or something). Finally, he has tv there with English (and French and Danish) stations, if you want to keep up with US news or just want to watch movies in English some night; he even had extra adaptors for cell phones (Euro or US) in case you forgot your adaptor or are missing one!). Price is a bargain for this whole package experience. I spent a few mornings talking with him over breakfast and really enjoyed it. I'd stay again in a heartbeat!
Bertrand was a wonderful host and made us feel comfortable after a long journey from the US. His daughters were also gracious and welcoming. The first day, we needed to sleep to recharge for the beginning of a three week trek starting in Copenhagen. The apartment is in a PERFECT location ... we could walk anywhere and were only one/two blocks from a trendy food market near the Norreport station. The apartment is clean and quiet and bed is super-comfortable. If you've never been to Copenhagen and want to be near all the main attractions, this is the perfect spot! Tivoli Gardens is a short walk as well as Nyhavn. We love Copenhagen, and hope to visit again. Thank you, Bertrand!
Bertrand's place was absolutely the perfect place to a couple seeing Copenhagen. The apartment was very clean and open. The view of the courtyard was nice and we had full use of the apartment.
Bertrand is very much a gentleman whose extensive knowledge of Copenhagen aided us in our walking tours. Honestly one can walk all of copenhagen if you have a sturdy set of legs! Ellen and I went out for a beer with our host and had an engaging conversation! His daughter is a most beautiful young lady who loves her papa. We will stay with Bertrand again hopefully in the near future. 5 STARS ALL AROUND!
We really enjoyed staying with Bertand. He's very easy to talk to and was a great resource for our limited time in Copenhagen. The location was great and the room is very well decorated.
Ruime kamer op perfecte locatie in Kopenhagen. Op loopafstand van het centrum. Uitgebreide informatie over Kopenhagen aanwezig. Betrand is een goede gastheer, zeer voorkomend en behulpzaam.
About the Host, Bertrand
Open minded and delighted to meet new people, I am an easy-going person and ready to help when possible. I have travelled quite a lot as a student but also during my professional career. I have enjoyed living and sleeping the hard way during my travels to remoted parts of India or Mozambique and many other places but I don't mind staying in a luxury hotel :-) The most important is the experience I get from my travelling.
Looking very much forward to meeting you.
