Great Place in Center of Copenhagen

Apartment - Private room · Schacksgade, Copenhagen, Hovedstaden 1365, Denmark

The Space

***I am a familly man who lives every second week with my two daughters, 15 and 9 years old.
We share the kitchen and bathroom.***

We live in the very center of Copenhagen, very near to all transport means. 20 mn from the airport with a direct metro to Nørreport station, which again is (email hidden) walking distance to my place. You can walk in 2 mn to the lakes and you will find a beautiful park just around the street corner. It takes 5 mn to walk to the City Hall. The flat lyes on the ground floor with access to a big great garden. Though in the Center of Copenhagen, the place is very quiet. You don't hear cars and the neighborhood is quiet. The room is very light with view to the garden. It is situated towards south so you get the sun the most part of the day, if we are lucky to have a sunny day :-)
The adjacent street is called 'Little Paris', it has a nice atmosphere with few bars and restaurants. It takes 15 mn walking distance to the main cinemas, Tivoli and all the main attractions.
It is possible to rent bikes on the next street and you will find a supermarket open everyday until 9PM. Just great !
* A baby bed can be provided if needed.*
We like you to feel home. Welcome.

  • The accommodation was very well described in the listing and Bertrand responded to all my questions in advance, so that when I arrived I found everything as I had expected.
During my stay, Bertrand was very hospitable and helpful, but also respectful of my need for privacy.
I would definitely recommend this place.

  • What a great host! It was a really clean, quiet and comfy place in the heart of Kopenhagen. Bertrand is a really good housemate. We had some interesting talks and felt like home.

Hope to go there soon again...

  • My daughter and I had a very pleasant 3-day stay with Bertrand. The apartment was lovely, set in a charming, quiet residential area, within easy walking distance of many places of interest to us, including the fabulous covered food market, just 5 minutes away. Our room was delightful - light, very comfortable bed, great pictures on the walls. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were fine too. Bertrand's hosting was impeccable, he made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Finally, it was an easy and quick journey between the apartment and airport.

  • Lovely room in a great location with a very welcoming and relaxed host. Copenhagen is small and most things are within walking distance, but you are seconds away from a pretty park and some "Borough Market" like market with organic food. Hire some bikes and see the city on two wheels. That's why Danes are so happy. They are always on their bikes.

  • Bertrand gave us a warm welcome and offered some great advice about the local area, including a great value pizzeria near the apartment.

The room and apartment were exactly as described and we were very comfortable there. The bedroom was a good size with lovely french windows and was warm despite the cold Copenhagen weather. Bertrand gave us plenty of fridge space and he had plenty kitchen equipment to allow us cook our own dinners.

The location is very central and in a quiet neighbourhood. The main city centre is very local and within easy walking distance of the apartment.

I would recommend staying at Bertrand's when visiting Copenhagen.

  • A room with marvelous African artwork, in a quiet neighborhood. Bernard was a perfect host. His daughter let us in on the first day. We bumped into him later today and had a nice chat. Recommended!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Bertrand's! Very nice and helpful family! Clean and spacious room, with a comfortable double-bed. Very good location in the center, ideal for exploring Copenhagen by foot.

  • We had a great time staying with Bertrand. This was our first time with airbnb and were a little apprehensive. We needn't have worried. Bertrand is a lovely, friendly and interesting man and the flat, although quite small, is extremely comfortable, well appointed and sharing the bathroom was no problem whatsoever. Most importantly it is so convenient for visiting Copenhagen; everywhere we wanted to visit was within walking distance. We may be back for longer next time!

About
Open minded and delighted to meet new people, I am an easy-going person and ready to help when possible. I have travelled quite a lot as a student but also during my professional career. I have enjoyed living and sleeping the hard way during my travels to remoted parts of India or Mozambique and many other places but I don't mind staying in a luxury hotel :-) The most important is the experience I get from my travelling. Looking very much forward to meeting you.
