Everything was just perfect. The welcoming, the atmosphere, the cleanest of the place and obviously the host, Martina and John especially, also Caron and Ben not to forget the dog and the horses... Everyone is just amazing in its way. We wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was also delicious. Thanks for everything, you made us felt like family in the very first minute we have met in this beautiful place of your's.
Martina and her family were lovely and so welcoming. The converted stable was lovely and felt so spacious. We were really happy with our choice to stay here.
Martina & John have arranged the Stable to be a perfect getaway. The space is large, well furnished and bright. More importantly, Martina & John were gracious hosts, waiting up for our late arrival and inviting us for tea. We had an excellent experience during our stay.
Our stay with Martina & John was short but very sweet! Martina gave us directions two different times, based on our changing travel itinerary to help us find their lovely farm. Roads in Ireland can be quite tricky, especially country roads--she did such a great job helping us find our way! Upon arrival we were greeted by their loving dog Dobby--John met us shortly after and invited us in for tea and snacks as soon as we were settled. Homemade bread that John had just made--delicious! We sat and talked with both Martina and John for an hour, met their children, and could've continued to talk and spend time with them, had we not been completely wiped from traveling. We had an early start planned the next morning and breakfast was ready and waiting by 7:15am! Wow, what a great way to start the day!
The studio is absolutely fantastic--exactly as the pictures look. Martina is a furniture designer and the place is decorated wonderfully. We could not have been more impressed with this experience. The lodging was great, but the hosts were even better. When we travel, we are usually just looking for a place to rest our heads before we continue on to the next adventure--with Martina and John, we were sad that we had only one night there.
When we were leaving, Martina brought out a couple maps and helped us to find our way to our next destination.
We will highly recommend Martina and John's cottage to anyone who is traveling to the Galway area. What a great place!
This was our favorite Airbnb experience of the three we did in Ireland. Martina was a wonderful host who made us feel so welcome! The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable and clean. We hope to return to visit again. Highly recommended!
Staying with Martina and John was completely lovely. They were quick to invite us in for tea and chatting at every opportunity. They had tons of advice about what to do in Galway or other nearby places, and also set us off on bikes to find the local Dunsandle Castle and other points for a good morning.
The lodging was also impressive. They did a beautiful job with the renovation of the space, and the place was warm and cozy and clean.
Easy access to Galway and other western Ireland destinations. Don't tell our other previous hosts, but this was our favorite airbnb stay so far.
Martina is a wonderful host. Outstanding accommodations, delicious breakfasts and a beautiful location made our stay a memorable one. Her recommendations for local points of interest and restaurants helped us to make the most of our time in western Ireland. If you plan to be in the area, I would highly recommend a stay with Martina.
