About this listing
Our 3200-square-foot mansion for music lovers will leave you breathless! It's equipped with two bathrooms, four bedrooms, an enormous kitchen, a miniature ballroom...and a porch just perfect for sitting and strumming a guitar :)
Hang up your rock and roll shoes in my brand-new BNB less than a mile from legendary Sun Studio!
Did I mention we've got our very own parking lot, too?
Like an unfinished symphony, the place is still in progress, mind you - we could use lots of suggestions and ideas for making it into a true paradise for the phonically-inclined!
But we promise to treat you like a VIP while you're here...because you are one, to us :) Expect a fresh-made breakfast and freshly-laundered sheets, for starters, and nonstop Southern hospitality through-and-through: we'll give you tons of pointers on the coolest places to visit and the juiciest BBQ around.
Isn't this music to your ears, y'all?

Interaction with Guests
I live on-site and would love to be there to greet you and guide you in your stay, when I'm not off at my community garden nearby!
The neighborhood can be hard to find, for some, but we think it's a total gem - not downtown proper, so parking is a cinch, but within walking distance of most of the epic sites like Sun Studio and Stax. The street is quiet and surrounded by local nonprofits like the Memphis Interfaith Association and the Memphis Food Bank. We'd love to do a voluntour, if you're interested in giving back while you're here!
We know you're going places and we love to help you get around! We've got tons of on-site parking for the drivers out there. If you're on foot, the house is within a few blocks of eight different bus lines, 1.5 miles from downtown, 0.4 miles from the trolley and just a short ways to catch the free shuttle to Graceland from Sun Studio! We also highly recommend Lyft, which just rolled out in Memphis :)
Other Things to Note
PLEASE, oh please bear with us, as I just moved into this place and it’s over 100 YEARS OLD. My wonderful friend Andy is my partner in crime as an innkeeper, and we're still getting the hang of things. He's got an adorable dog, Bentley who might come visit, as well. One day we hope to turn the house into a nonprofit center, so any support you give us gets us closer to changing this city for the better!
Smoking is completely cool outside on our spacious front porch and pets are allowed, as long as they're cuddly and you clean up after them if they have accidents ^_~
What a lovely stay at Jamie's! The house was absolutely stunning and our room was lovely. Jamie's house is 100 years old and is just so enchanting, clean throughout and generally a great place stay. Jamie had pastries and cakes available each morning and was a pleasure to chat with! She really cares about her community and was a wonderful host. Would recommend her place to anyone!
The host was very nice when I got a chance to meet her. She responded quickly to all of my questions via text.
Jamie was there to welcome us when we arrived and showed us to our room. She left lovely treats in the kitchen and the location is a short uber/taxi ride to the main attractions.
Jamies house is large and welcoming. You are made to feel at home and Jamie was very kind and helpful. We walked both to Sun Studios and to Beale Street.
Jamie este raient tres gentil et serviable. Si on a un problème elle essayera de le résoudre. Sa maison est très charmant et pass très loin de belle street. Tres bonne expérience.
We had such a nice stay! And the hospitality we received was nothing short of incredible! Though we didn't get the chance to meet Jamie, she was always available via text and very quick to respond when we had questions. We were originally supposed to be in the Jerry Lee room but she offered us the Elvis room and it was so much fun! We loved our stay at Bo Dudley and will definitely visit again the next time we are in Memphis!
funky old southern house. shared house, met some interesting people. very nice hostess, she offered to make us breakfast. gave us good info on different parts of the city to visit. recommended Gus’ fried chicken, which was great.

About the Host, Jamie
I once sat on a poisonous caterpillar. So if you are a poisonous caterpillar, I'd watch yourself around me. Otherwise, I'm a big goof and love to fuss over people :)
