Interaction with Guests
I live on-site and would love to be there to greet you and guide you in your stay, when I'm not off at my community garden nearby!
The neighborhood can be hard to find, for some, but we think it's a total gem - not downtown proper, so parking is a cinch, but within walking distance of most of the epic sites like Sun Studio and Stax. The street is quiet and surrounded by local nonprofits like the Memphis Interfaith Association and the Memphis Food Bank. We'd love to do a voluntour, if you're interested in giving back while you're here!
We know you're going places and we love to help you get around! We've got tons of on-site parking for the drivers out there. If you're on foot, the house is within a few blocks of eight different bus lines, 1.5 miles from downtown, 0.4 miles from the trolley and just a short ways to catch the free shuttle to Graceland from Sun Studio! We also highly recommend Lyft, which just rolled out in Memphis :)
Other Things to Note
PLEASE, oh please bear with us, as I just moved into this place and it’s over 100 YEARS OLD. My wonderful friend Andy is my partner in crime as an innkeeper, and we're still getting the hang of things. He's got an adorable dog, Bentley who might come visit, as well. One day we hope to turn the house into a nonprofit center, so any support you give us gets us closer to changing this city for the better!
Smoking is completely cool outside on our spacious front porch and pets are allowed, as long as they're cuddly and you clean up after them if they have accidents ^_~
Jamie was super nice and made me feel welcome with the name tag on the door and snacks in the room. Her dog is adorable. The house is cleaning and charming and within walking distance to Beale St and downtown. I would definitely recommend staying here!
We thought the house was great. We felt welcome, the house felt warm and lived in, Jamie had notes and directions for everyone’s benefit and plenty of reading materials to pass the time. The location was great, (close to downtown). She made homemade muffins on morning, doughnuts another morning, and awesome bacon egg cups on another morning. The bathrooms were clean and functional. And we spent some time every morning and every evening on the wide wonderful front porch, enjoying coffee or a drink with the sounds of the train and friendly neighbors saying hello. The whole house was eclectic, funky, with lots of character. It's old, and it's not perfect, but parts of it are excellent. If you've got a laid back nature with a taste for fun, you will love this house & the host as well.
Jamie's house was a gem. The place has tremendous authenticity and character and really reflects the musical heritage of Memphis. I had a great stay and thought the location was convenient to all that the City has to offer. The room was really thoughtfully designed and extremely comfortable. Jamie has created a wonderful experience throughout the house and it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into making the place as special and unique as it is. I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone traveling to Memphis and look forward to returning on a future trip!
The place was really cool and comfortable. Jamie was an awesome and very helpful host. Made us breakfast and helped us with (website hidden). Jaime has the cutest dog ever and I'm not even a dog person
Sonntags kostenloses Parken!
This was our first Airbnb experience so we were a little apprehensive going in but we had a wonderful time! Jamie has created a very welcoming space. The house itself was gorgeous and the room was extremely clean and large. Both bathrooms were very well-kept. She provided a delicious breakfast each morning and helpful tips to guide us through our stay. The location was very convenient; we took Uber several times to different bars and never paid more that $8.
I was pleased with my room at Jamie's house. Jamie was a welcoming host who left breakfast items available for self service in the morning. I liked the off-street parking. The neighborhood wasn't scarey at all. I walked to Beale St. in 25 minutes. The description was accurate for this funky alternative to hotels. I recommend this home.

About the Host, Jamie
I once sat on a poisonous caterpillar. So if you are a poisonous caterpillar, I'd watch yourself around me. Otherwise, I'm a big goof and love to fuss over people :)
