Other Things to Note
The room for lodgers has a full size bed, good quality firm support, as pictured in photo, for one or two people. There is also garage space for stowing bikes, snowboards or other gear. If you arrive by Megabus at UVM, best plan on calling a cab (about $7) as there is a big long hill to my house from there.
Quiet household for the most part. Just relax and enjoy your stay. If you have any questions, just ask.
Charming eclectic house and host. Genevieve could not have been more welcoming or accommodating and an incredibly interesting lady to chat with!
Lovely stay with Genevieve. She's a gracious host. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed a nice soak in the claw foot tub. We felt right at home
This was a very cute room with a private bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was really nicely decorated and lovely. The tapestry hanging on the wall made me feel like I was in my own bedroom. The a/c was nice and strong which helps. Gen was sweet and made me feel very welcome.
Genevieve is very nice and we enjoyed talking with her during the couple of times we saw her. Her house is in an excellent location to the lake and downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. We planned to be out most of the time so this was a perfect place for us to shower and get a good night sleep.
I have had the most extraordinary experience, deeply peaceful and personal. Genevieve is remarkable, kind, and wonderfully intelligent and sensitive to whatever I might have needed. My bed was sweetly comfortable, the place was full of books and art and light, and the neighborhood is right in the middle of town but very quiet. I spent mornings and late afternoons on the little front porch watching bits of Burlington walk by. Flowers everywhere, coffee in the morning, cool breezes in the heat, and a cozy bed to come home to. Deep thanks for an unexpectedly magical visit. A gift.
Great place in a great spot. We didn't see Genevieve, but she had everything set up for us. Quiet neighborhood as well.
Genevieve is a wonderful host. Both generous with her home, stories, and wealth of knowledge. She was very accommodating. Especially considering my last minute reservation. Would stay again when visiting Burlington.
