Heartbeat from downtown, lake, bike path, boat house, festival waterfront parks, beach, and Adirondack sunsets in Vermont's most diverse neighborhood. Share my home with your own bedroom, pictured. Porch, fenced garden, deep clawfoot tub, yoga space.
A bedroom in 1925 renovated Sears-style bungalow, in a neighborhood with plenty of character and super convenient...fat cat "Jolly" aboard is certainly unique.
Lots of books, yoga/living room, piano and guitars, fenced garden, nice deep old fashioned bathtub for hot soaks, and basic kitchen amenities. Fridge and electric kettle for tea, coffee, and simple food prep. Nunyuns Cafe is right next door for localvore breakfast and lunch, 7 am to 3 pm. Parking is easy in my driveway or on street.
Interaction with Guests
Happy to offer recommendations on request with finding your way around town. My home is your home while you're here, and I can easily be found in my separate living area if you need assistance with anything.
What do I love about my neighborhood? Pretty much...Everything.
Bus is 3 doors down...Downtown is 5 blocks...Lake and bikepath is 3 blocks...extra bike on premises if you want to borrow it. Parking in driveway as well as on the street.
Other Things to Note
The room for lodgers has a full size bed, good quality firm support, as pictured in photo, for one or two people. There is also garage space for stowing bikes, snowboards or other gear. If you arrive by Megabus at UVM, best plan on calling a cab (about $7) as there is a big long hill to my house from there.
Quiet household for the most part. Just relax and enjoy your stay. If you have any questions, just ask.
Had a fantastic few days staying at Genevieve's place in Burlington. The house and room are really nice and extremely cozy. The place is also well located, only a quick walk from the down town area and lake-front. Genevieve is a great host, helpful and very friendly. All in all, highly recommended!
I stayed at Genevieve's definitely charming bungalow for a couple of nights this past week, while I was waiting for my apartment to be ready. Very cool house - kind of boho/artist/Greenwich Village/Florida Keys vibe. I liked it a lot. Genevieve was a great host and made everything very easy, and the room was really comfortable. I'll recommend it highly next time I have friends visiting town.
Genevieve was an excellent hostess! Her home was cute, cozy, and within great walking distance to a number of Burlington attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely reach out to her again when the weather warms up :)
Gen was very warm and welcoming as well as providing us with excellent restaurant recommendations. Her home has a relaxing energy and you will feel calm as soon as you enter. It was located very close to both the lake and downtown and parking is no trouble. It would be a pleasure to stay here again.
Welcoming, cozy and super comfortable! Hope to go back when I'm in the Burlington area again.
Genevieve made staying in Burlington a breeze: easy check-in, clear directions, welcoming environment, and smooth come and go. While our conversation was short, I left feeling that I had just met an incredible and highly intentional human being.
Very comfortable, conveniently located, wonderful hostess. Could not have had a better stay.
