Heartbeat from downtown, lakefront, bike path, boat house, festival waterfront parks, beaches, colleges, and those glorious Adirondack sunsets in Vermont's most diverse neighborhood. Share my home with your own bedroom, pictured. Porch, fenced garden, deep clawfoot tub, yoga space, peacefulness, warmth. Venture forth, knowing you've got a clean, safe, and comfortable home port at the the end of the day!

The space

A bedroom in 1925 renovated Sears-style bungalow, in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of character, interesting shops and super convenient to downtown and the lakeside bike path as well as the colleges. You can relax here knowing that you are welcome.

Guest access

Lots of books, yoga/living room, guitars, fenced garden, nice deep old fashioned bathtub for hot soaks, and basic kitchen amenities. Fridge and electric kettle for tea, coffee, and simple food prep. Nunyuns Cafe is right next door for localvore breakfast and lunch, 7 am to 3 pm. Parking is easy in my driveway, or on street. Super duper fancy Athena water filter PH balanced for good chilled drinking water. My personal space is at the back of the house with a separate entrance, although I like to work at the kitchen table. You are free to enjoy your guest room, kitchen, living room, yoga space, and front porch sunroom pretty much to yourself as you like it.

Interaction with guests

Yes, I am always available to help you out if you need it during your stay. I'm happy to offer recommendations on request with finding your way around town. My home is your home while you're here, and I can easily be found via text or email or phone or a very loud shout into my separate living area at the back of the house, if you need assistance with anything.

Other things to note

Your guest room has a full sized bed, good quality firm support, as pictured in photo, for one or two people. Kitchen is simple but good. Your babies/ children/ nice pets are welcome. There's a bike/helmet you can borrow, and secure garage space for stowing bikes, snowboards or other gear. Please do help yourself to all the organic and good quality products in the bath and bedroom. If you like to smoke, please just do so outdoors and use a safe receptacle for disposal of the butt. If you have allergies, please rest assured I use Hepa filter Shark vacuum, a Hepa air filter, and have minimized the allergen quotient with sensitivity and compassion...I also have allergies! Clean, clear space to the best of my ability here.

This place is warm both literally and figuratively....pretty important in Vermont! Genevieve and her space were extremely welcoming. All was clean and comfy. She was super helpful and gracious. The joint area is spacious and light with a fascinating library. Cecil the house kitty was an extra benefit! Especially for my 4 year old grandson who, when visiting, had a blast with this playful kitty. Great walking location for seeing Burlington proper. I hope to stay there again next time I visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Genevieve's. The place is very cozy and welcoming and the cat is so sweet. The bed was very comfortable and the place is conveniently located. Genevieve and I had a lovely conversation, and I wish I could have stayed longer!

Comfortable and convenient. Genevieve is warm and accommodating and her cat, Cecil, is an added bonus.

Comfy, quiet, eclectic, central - super easy walk to Lake, Church St. Marketplace or can take buses there or UVM. Genevieve is an easy-going host with a very pleasant home. Happy to chat and welcome guests. Also she has a darling mud room! With a very cool orange kitty. We would be glad to stay again!

Pleasantly greeted on arrival. Was givens some information on the area. Location is great for walking to the waterfront or to church street. Coffee was provided in the morning. This was a short overnight business trip for me.
