The Space

Imagine yourself arriving at Amsterdam Centraal Station. You walk out of the station and take tram 13 easily for 10 minutes through the beautiful city center. After a 10 minute ride, exit the tram, walk across the street and be home! That is what it would be like when you stay at our large (very large!), sunny, conveniently located apartment.

We can provide you with two bikes for use during your stay as well, upon request.

The maximum number our place can accommodate is 6. Two in a queen bed in the master bedroom, 2 on the comfy futon in the guest bedroom, and two on a queen air mattress in the living room (or put it in the guest bedroom).

Our 2 bedroom apartment provides everything you (and your friends, perhaps?) need to conveniently enjoy your stay in Amsterdam.
Want to go downtown? 4 tram lines are available to you right on our corner. You can go downtown in 10 minutes, to museum square in 10 minutes (Van Gogh Musuem, etc.), you can walk to Vondel Park in 10 minutes or get there by tram in 5. Care to rent a bike, there are many options close by.

Once you are settled in our place you will enjoy two large bedrooms, both in the back of the apartment so they are very quiet. Large windows, lots of natural light, and a cozy vibe will make your very happy.

Outdoor space: We have a french balcony at the front, which gets sun in the afternoon. We have a large balcony in the back which is glowing with sunlight in the mornings.

Kitchen: Our lovely kitchen has everything you need to cook a fabulous meal or enjoy breakfast. We offer a french press coffee maker, and are stocked with organic, high quality coffee for you to enjoy. Tea your style? Feel free to use our black, green, or herbal teas to your hearts desire. A gas stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator are available for you to utilize. Open the door from the kitchen on to the balcony and enjoy fresh air while you cook. Want to have breakfast in the sun on the quiet balcony each morning? Why not?! Enjoy!
The large balcony also opens from the 1st floor bedroom. So you can wake up each day to a sunny day.

Bedrooms: Our apartment is two floors, with the master bedroom and toilet/shower on the second floor (with walk-in closet). The second bedroom is on the first floor with access to the balcony.

Bathrooms: The master bathroom has a hot shower, is quite big, and a large mirror. The half-bath on the first floor has toilet, sink, and washing machine. We hang-dry our clothes. No dryer.

Electronics: Strong wifi and a stereo are here for your use.

Neighborhood: The neighborhood is located near bars, restaurants and sits on top of a grocery store....super convenient for everything.

You can use our washing machine for clothes if you are here on an extended stay.

I have hosted on airbnb for over 2 years in DC. I had many many many great reviews for that apartment! Now living in's time to host here! You can check out the reviews I have from my previous place in my other listing!

  • We did not have the chance to meet Chloe and her husband during our stay in amsterdam, but we really had a great weekend staying in their apartment! Communication with Chloe before our trip went really well, she always responded immediately or within the next day. We received a bunch of information about the apartment and directions how to get there, so it was easy to find and handing over of the keys worked very well. The apartment is in a great location, with some shops and restaurants nearby, but still very quiet. Everything can be reached by foot easily, so that we only took the tram twice: when we arrived with our luggage and when we left (the tram-stop is right across the street). To climb the really steep stairs with luggage is not easy, but worth the effort. The apartment is very nice, clean, cosy, and comfortable, and there was more than enough space for the four of us. It really felt like home! It was a very positive experience and I would recommend the apartment to everyone who wants to stay in amsterdam!

  • Handover of the keys and communication before our trip was excellent. Chloe was always very friendly and responded to every question immediately.

The apartment has very nice and comfortable furniture. All rooms were neat and clean.
The only barrier are the very steep chairs of the building, but it's worth the effort.
The location is also great. You can easily go by foot to the center of Amsterdam.
I can totally recommend this apartment to all Airbnb users.

  • What a lovely apartment - ideally placed to get into Amsterdam centre very easily. Tram stops immediatley outside for going to all the major sites, but you can walk, its not too far.
Apartment was very homely, and well equipped. Always warm and plenty of hot water. Be aware there are lots of steep narrow stairs up to the flat, but once inside it is very spacious and comfy.
Chloe was very informative before our trip, but away whilst we were there.
Bikes are available to borrow, but it looked like cycling in Amsterdam was only for the adventurous so we chose to walk/tram everywhere. Fantastic little supermarket right next to the apartment which catered for all our needs. There are loads of places to eat out within easy walking distance. Moeders and Amigos were typical.
Despite being on 2 main roads, the apartment itself was really quiet, day and night. New sofa was very comfy and plenty of space to spend afternoons/evenings chillaxing without getting in each others way. (There were 4 of us)
Internet worked really well, which allowed us to do our research before heading out for the day.
Definitely would recommend this apartment for anyone wanting a short/long break. We stayed 4 days and saw most of what city had to offer - Rijks, Anne Frank house, canal boat ride (use the 24 hour hop on/off pass- much cheaper than the 'cruises'), Red light district (go early evening), churches old and new, Steidelijk. To get a good view of city head for the top floor of the public library on waterfront by Central station - good cheap cafe with lovely views.
Holland Pass we found to be good value, but not valid for journeys to/from the airport.

    It was a great weekend!

  • Apartment was extremely comfortable and well decorated. Chloe kept in good contact the whole time, easily reachable by the phone/text. Apartment was a 5 min tram ride from the center of the city, very easy to get to. Would highly recommend this listing.

  • I was lucky to rent Chloe's place over the 2011-2012 holiday! Yes, the place is HUGE and clean and bright. The bedrooms are on different floors and one has a big, beautiful bathroom with a great pressure shower. The other bedroom has a balcony off the back and there is a half bath on that floor.
It's in a great location as two trams are right outside the door and the one around the corner takes you right to central station in a few minutes.
Choe was a great host, offering books on Amsterdam and Holland in English as well as Dutch and she is great at giving advice on restaurants and clubs! We loved all the places she recommended.
It was super easy to meet and get the key. Chloe is so nice and is a really experienced host, I felt comfortable immediately, a very cozy yet modern and hip place.
It was nice to have the washer there as well. The wifi was fast and always on, which is not normal in many European cities!
I will definitely book her place again on my next trip. For business its great as its so close to Central Station (the 13)and thus the train to the airport.

Hi there! I'm Chloe. I live with my fiance Bram. I am American and he is Dutch. This is our home! I starting using airbnb as a host back in 2009 when I was living in Washington, DC where I lived for 11 years. I am originally from NYC and Bram is from a small village in the east of NL. We rent out our place when we are traveling and hope you enjoy your stay! I work for a US-based non-profit working with social entrepreneurs in health. Bram works for a bank and invests in renewable energy projects. We are both vegetarians, love cooking, good beer, good wine and good people! We are quite active and do triathlons. We like to grow vegetables and herbs. We just moved into this apartment in September 2011 and are slowly working on it and making it out home. I've lived in Russia and have traveled to India, Kenya, South Africa, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Kazakstan and more. Bram has lived in Japan, France, Colombia and more. We love to travel!
