As to public transportation, the location couldn't be more ausspicious. The closer vicinity features both the S-Bahn station „Bornholmer Straße“ right beneath the popular Bösebrücke, former checkpoint between East- and West-Berlin, as well as Tram stations practically in front of the door („Björnsonstraße“ and „Schönfließer Straße“ running lines M13 and M50). Andreas was very kind and helpful. The house is tidy and nice and it has everything you need and a private door so you can feel Like having your own home. You have a boiler, alarm, wc, shower. it's perfect for Two persons. If I come back to Berlin I hope to stay here again. The home is in bornholmer strasse where you can see the Wall just out of the station. it' s a very important place in the history of the city.
My girlfriend and I had a very nice nights stay here. Andreas was away on holiday but his wife made us feel very much at home when we arrived and helped us to locate places of interest in the area. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very easy to get to from Schönefeld Airport on the S-Bahn. Highly recommended host
I loved stayed at Andrea's house. Your wife Nam is an amazing person. The room is exactly what I expected: clean, clear, comfortable. The building is silent and beautiful. The area around is safe, easy to go to anywhere, close to the trains and subway. Is a family neighborhood, but it was what I wanted, so for me was perfect.
I came to Berlin for a 3-week German course. During the whole stay, I lived at Andreas' place, which was a very good choice.
Andreas and his wife were very welcoming, always there to help or to answer my questions. Open-minded, nice people, who did everything for that I feel at home. I appreciated a lot, that they talked to me in German for that I could practice it.
The studio itself is quiet, confortable, clean, everything seems to be new. It has its own bath, toilette and entrance door, which ensures privacy.
I could use the kitchen, and store things in the fridge. I also could use the washing machine and the piano in the living room :-)
I appreciated a lot the good and welcoming atmosphere.
The studio is in Bornholmerstrasse, Prenzlauerberg. It's a nice district to live in. The tram station is just in front, U-Bahn/S-Bahn stations are not too far away either. A lot of cycle paths everywhere in the district. Schönhauserallee is very close with plenty of stores, boutiques, bars and restaurants, cinemas. Mauerpark, in the other direction, is also a nice place, mainly for the Sunday fleemarket and street art shows. There are two supermarkets at 5 minutes walking distance, and a small greengrocer shop on the corner (Schönfließer Str) with very nice fruits and vegetables.
I can absolutely recommend this studio for short, as well as for longer stays.
Thank you, Nam and Andreas!
Andreas and his wife were welcoming us with coffee and a nice chat. They are both very friendly, helpful and uncomplicated. The neighbourhood provides nice bars and restaurants and is rather calm and clean. The appartment exactly looks like on the pics, maybe a bit smaller. My mother and me were staying together, I would recommend it to couples and close friends/family.
