About this listing
NO SMOKING INSIDE OR OUT FOR MANY REASONS! Tobacco users please look elsewhere. That being said:
The ad says East Congress but this is most definitely South Congress...
Large RV (26' 5th wheel yr. 2000 w/slide out). Unique high ceiling and hardwood floor. Usual amenities- fully-equipped kitchen, AC, heat, etc. plus Queen memory foam bed with all cotton sheets and down filled comforter. Couch folds down to be an extra bed as does the dining table area. Separate entrance and private flagstone patio/bamboo garden w/ a chiminia, table and chairs, and an out-door shower (indoor shower too).
Wood fired Gypsy style sauna and a creek-side picnic/campground area available. I have 2 acres on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, Jovitas and lots more).
I have 3 cats, 7 sweet mini goats, 11 chickens and a big organic garden here at my funky little 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. Lots of remodeling and flood cleanup chaos here right now but plenty of pretty and secluded nature as well. I like vintage travel trailers and there are a few here (some are listed!). I also host a very popular and large community PotLuck party on the 2nd Wednesday of every month -campfires, food, music, friends. Big Fun!

Jim O' was a great host. We showed up late at night, but he still met us in order to let us in and show us everything. The RV was clean and air-conditioned, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom inside was a bit small, but that's to be expected in an RV, and the outdoor shower was wonderful. Jim stocked the fridge with lots of delicious treats, which we really appreciated. We didn't get to spend much time on the property but it seemed to be a nice, rural space within the city. If you're open to staying in an RV, I recommend this place.
Jim's RV was perfect for the three of us. Two on the bed and one on the futon. Jim is very friendly and as soon as we checked in, he showed us around his land and we got to meet his goats and chickens. The outdoor shower was our favorite! This location is close to the bustling parts of the city. If you need to contact him, calling is the best option. Thank you Jim for your hospitality!
You're looking for an original place to stay in Austin ? Dont look for it anymore, you found it !
Jim's RV is the perfect place for you.
You're near South congress (Soco), bustling city but in a quiet and wild area with creek, forest, animals.
The RV is nice and big, and the shower outside is perfect for hot summer !
Jim provided us some food and beverages too.
We definitely reccomand this place.
We loved Jim O's place! Quirky and charming lot, great neighbors, quiet, close to South Congress restaurants and shops. Jim O was very hospitable and gave us a tour of his awesome property. Will be back!
Wonderful stay, exactly as described. Fantastic environment. We were romanced by the setting and the laid backness of it all. We enjoyed staying in a community that was able to give us more freedom then a regular hotel and yet be eco conscience. Conveniently located minutes from all Austin has to offer, we found everything was close by and easy to get around seeming to be centrally located. Cant thank Jim enough! We definitely found ourselves a bit more connected thanks to this stay.
We enjoyed our stay. We didn't realize that there were other people who lived on the property so close to the RV. That was unexpected. We still felt like we had our privacy, which we appreciated. The bed was amazing! We liked the outdoor shower too.
This is in a very good location and is what you might call a rustic setting. It's a very comfortable place just off S Congress. The A/C is cold, the RV is pretty roomy and the bed is very comfortable.
