Decidedly cool. Chill out in this bright & beautiful Darlinghurst Studio, right in the heart of the best of Victoria St cafe's, back street art galleries, theatres plus chic eateries on Stanley St. Live in Art Deco history with best view in town!

This top floor apartment (5th floor, accessible via lift or stairs) with very high ceilings and 1920s heritage art deco features is a space that is full of light all day long with an incredible vista day or night.
Don't stay here if you don't love character with an oldy worldy Parisian loft feel as this studio is filled to the brim with character and charm for those who love original details.
Brilliant for a single or couple, sleeping maximum two people, on the chiropractic, comfortable queen bed.
The kitchen is separate to the main living space, in a small galley way, with a full sized fridge, gas stove and oven (no microwave). No need to sleep in the kitchen in this studio!
The kitchen and bathroom both have stunning original tiles with a huge beautiful deep bath, so if you're a bath person, you will be in heaven, enjoying the lovely cross breeze (no AC but none needed!) after a day of walking around the sites of Sydney.
Darlinghurst is a destination for Sydney's best restaurants and bars, so you will hear the occasional passerby however this building is on a cul-de-sac, so is one of the quieter streets in the area, as there is no road traffic sound below. People are often surprised at how quiet such an inner city area can be, perhaps as we are on the top floor.
Studio has free internet wifi and coin laundry facilities on the top floor. The roof top also has a fantastic view of the Harbour Bridge and Domain Park. Why pay hotel rates when you can have your own private home, equipped with everything you need for 2 people?
Darlinghurst has colourful characters and is constantly evolving. Where better to stay than right in the heart of it all with the best restaurants that Sydney has to offer - not to mention the original Messina Icecream Shop!
Please do not ask to view the property prior to booking. It is impossible as Airbnb does not allow us to exchange contact details until bookings are confirmed.
Guests have free unlimited wifi, access to a small original Art Deco wardrobe, under bed storage perfect for suitcases, the three ottomans also have storage, use of bathroom and 80% of the kitchen. We reserve one kitchen cupboard and one trunk, these are the only areas that are locked.
Interaction with Guests
I am a super speedy responder and here to answer and assist with any questions at all.
We like to know when guests have settled in, so that we know guests have their keys and all is as expected. We also keep this in our rental agreement as we need to know if anything is not working or broken upon arrival so we can fix and replace items. Sometimes it is just a matter of usage instructions and rather than guests tell us at the end of their stay that items weren't working we would prefer to know so that we can send instructions if there is any issue.
This leafy inner city suburb offers stunning residential streetscape. A pocket of pulsating options, the streets come alive at night in this most convenient of locations in Sydney.
Darlinghurst is a very safe inner city suburb. The closest train station, Kings Cross, is sometimes sketchy, but like all blue light areas, there is a high police patrol, so we feel very safe there. Darlinghurst is the next suburb and has a cafe and restaurant vibe, so it's very different to Kings Cross. Darlinghurst has all the best attractions and is walking distance to CBD, the harbour and Oxford Street shopping.
There are many buses and trains all within a close walking distance from our studio. Our street has a 99% walking score! You can walk anywhere to Sydney's biggest attractions and just a bus to beaches such as Bondi Beach :-)
Other Things to Note
Rates are seasonal and change throughout the year. NYE dates require minimum one week booking. To find the rates and date availability, please go to our home page and click your dates on the top right hand corner. This will also provide rates for dates selected.
The studio does not have AC. Installing AC in this studio would be in vain as the studio does not need extra cooling. The studio is on the top floor and has a wonderful cross breeze that all have loved and enjoyed. It also faces east so only gets the morning sun, not the hot afternoon western sun, were it on the other side of the building it would be a different story. The studio has a large fan (see pictures) if extra cooling is required, but beyond the fan, AC is not needed at all.
Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.
Provided will be: Pillows, Tea Towels, Blankets and Doona's. Linen for one set will be supplied, if you require further linen, we can arrange a linen hire service that costs up to $75 a delivery.
Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
All bookings made accept these terms.
Cancellation, if caused by the client, 50% cancellation policy is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period and only a $50 cancellation fee applies.
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of Guests should not exceed 2 adults or subsequently agreed in writing or email, and no more than 4 people in the apartment at one time. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional payments.
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants' responsibility during their stay.
Personal Liability – it is the tenants' responsibility for their own safety and welfare and owners are not liable for any harm caused to tenants' welfare while at Darlinghurst Studio.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.
Check-in time is 2pm, as we often have back to back guests and require minimum 4 hours to clean and prepare the property in between guests.
Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.
Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and additional payments of 100% per night of excessive noise.
Security will be charged via airbnb. The total amount will be refunded through subject to the above conditions being met. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared ..etc.
Pets are not allowed unless specific arrangements have been made in writing with the owner.
Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

I understand the inherent risks associated with occupying this property and the possible injuries that can be sustained by occupying this property. I knowingly and voluntarily assume these risks and full responsibility for any personal injury or illness, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of or in any way arising out of, my occupancy of this property, or in travel to and from this property. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for medical or other costs arising out of any bodily injury, illness, or property damage or loss sustained by me through my occupancy. I hereby agree that in consideration of the host allowing me to occupy the property, I do for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns hereby release, waive, and forever discharge the host, its officers, agents and employees from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of actions arising out of or related to (i) any injury or illness, including death, that may be sustained by me or which I may cause during the course of my occupancy or (ii) any loss or damage to my property, while in occupancy and any activities incidental to the occupancy. I hereby agree to indemnify the host, its officers, agents and employees against all liability for any personal injury or illness, loss or damage to property, or costs, including court costs and attorneys fees that may result from or arise out of my occupancy.
