Sleep soundly on six real beds and relax on the chairs of our large balcony overlooking tall pines. Enjoy fast internet, AppleTV w/ Netflix, & kitchen supplies ready for cooking! We provide coffee, tea, & hot chocolate too!

The space
Max occupancy: El Dorado County limits my property to 6 individuals age 6 or older. I will allow up to 8 individuals as long as 2 or more are under 6 years old.

We absolutely love our home and hope you will too! Expect your blood pressure to drop 10 points upon arrival :). It is surrounded by a beautiful pine & cedar forest and is very private. The entire home was recently remodeled, and a new deck was completed in November 2023!

Arrival is comfortable and stress-free: We know you are traveling from a distance, so we like to be flexible with a 12:00 PM check-in AND check-out time.

Motion-sensing lights will guide you up the stairs and our smart lock will be coded to the last 4 digits of your phone number. The lights will be on and the home will be at a comfortable temperature.

We offer fast gigabit wifi available throughout the home using enterprise-grade networking equipment.. so you'll be able to stream your shows and hop on a zoom without issue.

On the main floor, you will find two bedrooms with queen beds and a well-appointed full bathroom.

The kitchen is ready for you to cook a great meal! Fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, a Keurig, and salt/pepper.

The living room has a couch with a chaise lounge & love seat. We have a 65" SmartTV, DVR, as well as an AppleTV logged in to Netflix! Off the living room is a large balcony overlooking the forest - perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or having an evening beverage.

The upper floor includes a master bedroom with a king bed and 55" SmartTV with Roku, accessible through a large multi-bed common space (1 full, two twin XL). A large bathroom with a washer & dryer completes this level.

You have full access to the two-car garage with a universal EV charger and a long driveway.

This area can experience frequent power outages. We are proud to say we have a whole-home generator with an auto-transfer switch! A power outage will never interrupt your stay.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the home with the exception of locked supply closets.

Whether you are here to enjoy the roads & trails, the serenity of the forest or just want to be close to Tahoe, you'll love this home in the Sierra Nevada Mountains! We are 12 miles from the nearest stoplight!

Afraid your plans will change? We offer a moderate cancelation policy, giving you a full refund up to 5 days before your stay.

We've accommodated 3 full size trucks+trailers in our driveway for those that want to take their Jeep on the Rubicon Trail! We often host riders doing the NorCal Backcountry Discovery Route.

1 or 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome, just make sure your reservation includes the pet count. We love dogs and don't mind guests bringing them along for the trip - simply make sure that you specify the number of pets when making your booking and the small fee will automatically be charged.

We ask that you not leave your dog alone. Even the best-behaved dogs can cause some damage when left alone in a new environment. We have coyotes, mountain lions, and even a bear in the area that can be a danger to dogs that are outside alone.

For our safety and yours, there are security cameras outdoors as well as in the garage that are capable of 24/7 recording.

For those with mobility issues: you must climb one set of stairs to enter the home. We have installed an ADA-approved railing.

WINTER WEATHER NOTICE:
Pollock Pines is located at or near the snow line most winters. That said, the MotoRetreat is located a short distance down a road that may not be plowed if it does snow. In this case, 4x4/high clearance may be required. We will always notify you if this is a possibility prior to your stay.

We also have an epic sledding hill on the property. There are a few sleds for guest use in the garage!
