Your Hosts - Kate and Mr. G
I am so delighted I stayed with Kate and Gordon in their lovely charming home. They are the kindest people, their home is comfortable and beautiful. Kate is an outstanding stylist/decorator, I was so happy to be in her pretty and cozy spaces. Their home is close to any place in Madison you want to go. Thank you Kate and Gordon for being outstanding hosts. I picked their home partly because it is in a neighborhood where I could easily park beside the house and I had my own bathroom. I received a lot more in meeting these sweet people I call friends now. Thank you Kate and Gordon for making my visit in Madison extra nice and very comfortable.
I had a wonderful stay at Kates B&B. Everything was lovely. Their home is beautiful. They made me feel like part of the family. I felt very comfortable there and would return in a heartbeat. I didn't have a warm enough coat and Kate lent me one of (website hidden) sweet. She is a great cook and there were always wonderfu lsmells coming from the kitchen. I was even invited to have dinner with the family on a day I was back early. My Granddaughter fell in love with their dog and let us play in the yard with the dog and the great tree swing. I thank them for including my Granddaughter.. It was a different situation and thank them for that. She'll be talking about the fairie houses for a long time. Thank you again, Sheryl
My stay with Kate and Gordon was great -- a perfect first Airbnb experience! Their home is beautifully decorated and their private, nicely landscaped yard was lovely to relax in after busy days out on the town. They were warm and welcoming, so I felt right at home as soon as I arrived, and I enjoyed getting to know them better during the rest of the stay. Kate is so creative -- she has cool art projects all around the house and was always whipping up some yummy meal or batch of cookies. And Gordon was super helpful, offering tips on how best to get to certain places. The bedroom was roomy, with nice decor, a comfy bed, and a fluffy bathrobe in the closet. And it was great having my own bathroom right next to the bedroom!
I highly recommend Kate and Gordon as hosts. They really thought out every detail to make the guest experience comfortable and special. It was hard to leave! Next time I come to visit Madison, I hope to stay with them again.
Seriously, the pictures don't do Kate and Gordan's home justice. I had a better stay than I've ever had in an "official" bed and breakfast. Kate and Gordan were warm and welcoming, the bed was comfortable, the beer (on tap!) was cold, and the coffee in the morning was hot! I would love to come visit as soon as I'm back in Madison.
Our stay in Madison was lovely. Kate is a gracious host. The neighborhood is charming and walkable. Backyard a pleasurable spot to relax. Very accessible to downtown via many public bus routes. If you're in town for anything at UW consider "Charming Room on a Quiet Street", it's closer than you think!
Comfortable bed, very clean. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Near bike path, delicious homemade granola and fresh coffee in the morning. Would definitely recommend it.
I lucked out! The tasteful design drew me to Kate's place, but the hospitality made it one of my best trips ever. I did not realize that Kate and her husband Gordon would be such amazing hosts. I wanted a local's experience during my stay, I got that and more, it felt like visiting old friends. From the time I arrived I was welcomed like family, even offered a pint of local brew from the kegerator when I walked in the door. Kate makes delicious granola that she shares with her guests over delightful morning conversation. I was house hunting during my stay, and after a disasterous inspection, Kate started sleuthing real estate sites and found the perfect home for me! Kate and Gordon's charming house is close to a little mixed-use development with restaurants, a market, a library and coffee shops. A terrific bike trail is nearby that provides access to the Capitol, Camp Randall Stadium, parks, and neighborhood shopping districts. It was the perfect way to travel and meeting Kate and Gordon was an experience I will always cherish!
