Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • It was my second stay at David's lovely place and I had a wounderful experience. David is very helpful regarding all matters and the appartment is super clean and comfortable. The location (yeoksam station) is perfect to explore seoul, catch the airport shuttle or go shopping in Gangnam. I will stay again at Davids house the next time I am in seoul.

  • David was a terrific host! This was my first experience with airbnb and it was a good one. Came in late to Seoul for a business trip and David met me at 10pm and brought me from yeoksam station to the place, to give me the keys and show me some of the fundamentals of getting in and out of the building. He was helpful, yet unobtrusive. Was willing to help in any way. A friend and I stayed there and he gave us each keys. He even offered to have a friend show us around the city!

Location- Great. About 8 minutes walk from the GFC building and Yeoksam station. Very easy to find if you exit #6 and head North on Nonhyeon-ro and a left at the Venezia hotel. It's next to B2M entertainment. Harkens back to 80s R&B ;)

Place was very clean and had all utilities needed. Decent free wireless speed and IPTV with a decent selection in the 110s for English content. Close to 7-11 and GS25 convenience store chains.

This is a great choice in an area that is littered with either expensive hotels, or small, cramped love hotels. I felt safe, the neighborhood is quiet and it is very affordable and well-equipped.

  • We had the pleasure of staying at Davids place for 6 nights last week.
All the amenities were as described and the apartment was in great condition, very clean, comfortable and cosy.
David was very kind and picked us up form the Subway station which is very conveniently close to the Apartment, he even dropped us back there on our last day.

  • David was a great host who made the effort to ensure that we had a good stay. He picked me up from Novotel where the airport bus had stopped, and also dropped me off at the end of my trip. He also responded very quickly when we dropped him a call about various problems, and ensured the problems were fixed.

There was some slight inconveniences, as we had to change apartments due to some scheduling conflict. However David did his best to smooth the transition over, and also brought me out on a meal to express his thanks.

Note that the kitchen comes equipped with cutlery and cooking equipment, but cooking would still not be very recommended due to the lack of basic condiments like cooking oil or salt and pepper.

Also, I am not sure what the 'cleaning fee' paid to Airbnb was for since in the month that I was staying in the apartment, no cleaning was done, and I had to vacuum the floor and clean up. While I did not have a problem doing these things myself, I would still have preferred not to pay about USD20 for a service that I felt I did not get.

  • The unit was great. Clean and all the appliances were in good working condition. I stayed there for almost a month and was really glad to have a washing machine and a verandah for me to wash my clothes. And David is a really great host. Caring and friendly and he is willing to make you feel comfortable as much as he can. I will definitely rent from him again!

  • David is an excellent host for anyone coming to Korea. He's absolutely sincere, and will take time out of his day to bring things over, or help you with directions when needed. He gave us clear instructions on how to get to the hotel that's near the apt, and picked us up directly (we could've walked the block). On our second day there, after we asked him to arrange our DMZ tour, he came to check up on us that we were there on time, and that the tour company actually arrived as scheduled. When we ran out of towels or toilet paper, he brought it over almost instantly even when he was away at church, and finally he took the time to drive us to the bus stop to head back to the airport.

The apt itself is close to a handful of restaurants within 2-5 minutes walk, one which was open 24hrs. The nearest station is the Gangnam station, which is about 10 minutes walk away, and this is the area where all the restaurants, bars, and cafes are located. As mentioned above, the apt is close to a few major hotels (we specified the Samjung Hotel), and this is extremely handy to tell the taxi driver when all you know how to say is 'hello' and *insert name of hotel here*. The master bedroom is huge, and the kitchen/fridge are handy, but not used due to the abundance of options in the area.

Overall, this was an excellent stay, and highly recommended!

  • My family and I enjoyed this location very much. There were six of us so we rented 3 rooms. The rooms were very nice, the heated floors kept us warm and everything was very clean and new. The bedrooms had a lot of space for all your luggage and the closets had shelves and hangers for your clothes. The TV had many Korean channels and some English ones. It comes with a stocked kitchen so you can prepare small meals or have drinks around the table.

David was very helpful and kept in contact a few days before my arrival to make sure I would get on the correct bus to get to his place. He helped us find great local restaurants and also made reservations for our DMZ tours. I would definitely stay here again.

  • David's place was the PERFECT place for my friend and I to stay. Very central location (short walk to three different subway lines) and very secure (3 layers of keyless entry) with all the amenities we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The apartment was spotless and the layout is thoughtfully designed which made the apartment feel very spacious. The best part of our stay was definitely David's generosity and hospitality - he was readily available to answer any questions and offer advice about the best spots in the neighborhood and beyond. He also went out of his way to make sure we got the best exchange rates and even picked us up and dropped us off at the airport shuttle stop. He really made our stay a fantastic one - the next time I am in Seoul, I will definitely stay at David's again. Truly an incredibly easy and wonderful experience from start to finish!

  • I stayed at this flat for almost 4 weeks and only can underline, what others already reviewed: The location is good, the flat very clean, well maintained and everything needed for a small household is there. And if you miss something: David will help. Thank you David!
