I stayed in Chrissies cottage in February and my friends and I couldn't have asked for a better place. The cottage is located just at the heart of Ambleside, which is probably one of the cutest towns I have ever seen. It's only a few minutes away from the lakes and the perfect starting point for various hiking routes. The communication with Chrissie has been very uncomplicated and overall we could not have asked for a better host. I would recommend Chrissie without any hesitation. I have fallen in love with Ambleside and and Chrissie' cottage an will definitely come visit again!

Chrissie’s cottage is so warm and inviting, we really enjoyed our stay here. It’s the classic countryside getaway, a great place to get away from it all and relax. It’s in a great location, 6 mins walk into the main centre. The views from the living room and main bedroom are incredible. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The hot water is set on a timer (I think it comes on at 8.30am and finishes late at night) so don’t get caught out with cold showers! The shower pressure in the bathroom located near the stairs is much better than the other bathroom with the bathtub. Chrissie isn’t located in the Lake district but was a very attentive host, always on hand to respond quickly to any of our questions or requests. I’d highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying here again one day in the future! Missing Ambleside and the Lake District already. Thanks again Chrissie for allowing us to stay!

David and I would love to welcome you to our home, we both enjoy meeting new people and it's important to us that our guests get the most out of their stay.
We are both retired but David does some consultancy work in the humanitarian aid field and seems to work most of the year, evenso we do manage to fit in quite a bit of travelling and we both love sea kayaking, cycling, skiing and sailing.
