Our house is very sunny, comfortable and everybody has his own space, the room we rent has a private balcony on the woods and has direct sunshine in the morning. we are very close to centre, the connection with almost every part of the city is very easy with public transport and also very close to train station, minutes walking distance to Trastevere, Gianicolo, the river Tiber, in the house liveGaia, her daughter Sibilla and their pets, a dog: Poldo, and a very shy cat: Popoki.
To reach the house.
from Fiumicino International Airport, take the train directly inside the airport to Trastevere Station, and tram number 8 for two stops, to Piazza Ippolito Nievo.
from Ciampino Airport take the bus to Termini Central Station, from there bus H to Piazza Ippolito Nievo.
To move around the city the best way from home is number 8 tram to centre, in 10 minutes you can choose where to walk: Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Foro Romano, Spanish Steps...
To eat: just down the street, 2 minutes walking a typical italian called 'Il Buchetto', or the best pizza ever in two 8 tram stops...however ask Gaia for further advices.
Our house is strategically in the center but has the beneficts of being down a wood hill, so the air is clean, and the neighborhood is nice.
The kitchen is not accessible for guests, though they can store their goods on the fridge if they need to. We provide a good breakfast the first morning after their arrival, if the guests want to have it for the following days they may ask and pay a little extra for this.
The bathroom: there's a toilet only for the guests, and a bathroom for the family, where the guests can take their shower.
Gaia was flexible for check in even if it wasn't convenient for her, the room was very nice and the location is good too. We had a problem with the electricity and was hard to reach them but other than that our short stay was ok.
Gaia's house is exactly as pictured, our dream Italian home, very close to the center of rome where all the main attractions are. Tram #8 is right down the street which takes you to the center, we loved our big room with a small balcony with a pretty view. Gaia is nice and very accommodating, her pets are amazing, we always looked forward to Poldo (Gaia's dog) greeting us after a long tiring day. We wish to come back soon! - Camille & Roshan
My boyfriend and I had a really nice staying at Gaia's place. The flat is well located, cleant and has a lot of charm. Trastevere is a great area to stay as you are not far from the main tourist attractions (15 min by bus) and you have plenty of restaurants and bars to go. Gaia has also 2 adorable pets!
Gaia was not available as we arrived later in the evening. She organized for her daughter to meet us which was great for us- unfortunately we were delayed but Sibella was fine and made us feel most welcome. The apartment is in a great location, close to public transport, clean, quiet and comfortable.
