Our house is very sunny, comfortable and everybody has his own space, the room we rent has a private balcony on the woods and has direct sunshine in the morning. we are very close to centre, the connection with almost every part of the city is very easy with public transport and also very close to train station, minutes walking distance to Trastevere, Gianicolo, the river Tiber, in the house liveGaia, her daughter Sibilla and their pets, a dog: Poldo, and a very shy cat: Popoki.
To reach the house.
from Fiumicino International Airport, take the train directly inside the airport to Trastevere Station, and tram number 8 for two stops, to Piazza Ippolito Nievo.
from Ciampino Airport take the bus to Termini Central Station, from there bus H to Piazza Ippolito Nievo.
To move around the city the best way from home is number 8 tram to centre, in 10 minutes you can choose where to walk: Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Foro Romano, Spanish Steps...
To eat: just down the street, 2 minutes walking a typical italian called 'Il Buchetto', or the best pizza ever in two 8 tram stops...however ask Gaia for further advices.
Our house is strategically in the center but has the beneficts of being down a wood hill, so the air is clean, and the neighborhood is nice.
Superb location and great friendly host, Gaia. Cheerful dog Poldo, lost of sunshine and amazing city. Great stay for a week in Rome. It's not 5-star hotel, obviously, and with proper expectation management and reality check (price!) you'll have a great stay.
Gaia was such an amazing host. I arrived so much later then the promised time but she was still so patient and caring. Her room is very clean and comfortable! Thank you Gaia for being so amazing.
Gaia is a very nice woman. The location of the apartment is good, near the tram to the Piazza Venezia. Unfortunately, we did not like our stay in the appartment.
We stayed in the boys bedroom. We had the idea the son just had left his room.We found it cheerless. There was even no running water in the room.We had to use the bathroom of the family. Often this was long occupied by the daughter or her friends who were taking baths. Also we could not use the kitchen because the family and/or friends were there. In addition, it was pressure in house. The daughter and her friends were very (website hidden)'s an old apartment. The doors did not locks well. Once we came back and found the door open. The dog had eaten our coockies. We were not at our convenience.
Spacious room in a big apartment decorated with beautiful things. Good walking and tram distance to most things in Rome.
Very cute apartment in a great location! You can be at all of the main tourist attractions in Rome within 30 minutes. Gaia is a great host too, very sweet.
I asses the visit at Gaia Faggani’s house as really great. First of all she speaks English fluently what is the most important for non-Italian guests. She is incredibly nice and has a wide knowledge about Rome. She’s willing to answer any question concerning the most interesting, worth seeing places. She’s also honest when it comes to boring and unworthy ones. I’m really grateful for her hospitality. She even prepared a typical Italian breakfast for me and my wife. Her house is decorated in original style, preserving an unique atmosphere. I will never forget her first words just after warm welcome, that is “feel yourself like home”.
Nice place to sleep, 10 minutes walk from Trastevere area! Only few tram station to go downtown. The owner is very nice, she will give you good advices to visite thé city!
Gold adresse un Roma!
We arrived at airport Fiumicino and it was very easy to get to Gaia's home. The train takes about 45 minutes and we then took the Tram - 3 stops to Gaias house. From the Tram it took 2 minutes walk. Perfect location! We ware welcomed from Gaia and Poldo very friendly and we felt at home immediately. The room is very quiet and the bed comfortable. Everything was tidy and clean. The breakfast the first morning was really good. Gaia was helping whenever we had questions. She recommended a very good pizzeria and helped with the online booking. My daughter and myself loved Poldo - he is a very cute dog. And we could stroke the cat! We would bookGaia's home again. We really felt at home - not like strangers. :-) All the best Gaia! Hope to see you soon again. Maybe at the sea!?! :-)
Gaia has a beautiful apartment in rome, tall ceilings, interesting decorations and access to a few things in the kitchen. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay as much as we expected. Gaia said that "We provide a good breakfast the first morning after their arrival" in the apartment description and it was not provided to us, nor told that it wasn't provided. When we first came in, the dog followed Gaia into the stairwell and started barking, scaring my wife, it would've been nicer if the dog introduction was made after we came in to the apartment and got situated. Lastly, we saw that the dog has flees all over her! This is not okay for us and we would not have gotten this place if we knew this.
Marie and I had a wonderful stay. We were impressed by the ease with which we were able to reach all sites of interest from her home. We would recommend this area as a great place to stay. Her daughter was extremely helpful in assisting us in our efforts to explore Rome.
