About This Listing
I have a beautiful and comfortable studio apartment, with cable & internet. It has a true beach feeling. It can comfortably fit 6 adults and is centrally located on a quiet street just two blocks from Ocean Drive.
Its a studio with two beds,1 bathroom. That also comes with a self service kitchen and living room space, which two extra people can sleep comfortably due to the queen size sofa bed. There is also high speed internet to keep you connected to the world and cable so you can keep up with your favorite shows while you stay at my place.
Interaction with Guests
I greet every guest upon arrival, answer any questions you may have, and give a small tour of the apartment.
The place is located in the heart of south beach in walking distance to the beach, clubs, and restaurants, all of the main attractions that the beach has to offer. You can walk to anywhere; you don't need a car. In case you have a car I offer parking passes so you can park anywhere around the property. I offer some essentials for breakfast like milk, juice, bread, cereal, eggs, coffee, sugar, creamers, tea, pots and pans so you can cook your own breakfast if needed. In the bathroom, I offer towels, wash cloths, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, conditioner, shower gel, shampoo. lotion, shower cap, q-tip, blow dryer, iron, etc.
Chelo was very kind and welcoming. We had to change our time that we would meet him at the place, and he was totally understanding. He provided water (so necessary in Miami!!) and lots of shampoos and conditioner, as well as towels. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the shower ran hot for all 6 of us staying there! The location couldn't be better. You are right in the middle of all the Miami action - beach is a 5 minute walk, shopping is a couple of blocks away, and bars and restaurants are everywhere. I can't say enough good things about this place. We would definitely stag again.
When we got to the apartment, the air conditioning does not work; there was also no hot water in the shower. They said it was a problem of the building, which I did not think true. In this situation, we were moved to another apartment which was in perfect condition. After being there for two nights, we had to move back to the first apartment, where they installed a new air conditioning and had solved the water issue. I noticed that when we moved the man who greeted us was carrying an electric kettle in his hand ... of course, now the microwave did not work ...
If you live four or five blocks away this is not a bad option but if you come from other State or country i definively do not recomment this apartment. Even though its very well located, close to the beach, you might want to choose a better place to spend your vacations and be more comfortable. BE CAREFUL! It says that has a free pass to park around the building but when you arrrive Chelo will tell you someone has lost the pass and you will have to pay the parking ($20 per day). park on the street in that area is not free!Besides, the apartment does not have hot water, so you probably will have to take a cold shower. No toilet paper too. I have travel around the world using airbnb and this was my worse experience.
Chelo is the best. He is very nice and helpful. We rent a car and we don't know parking spot in Miami is really hard to find but Chelo parking pass help us a lot. He answer every questions that we'v been asked. His place is very good spot, you can walk to everywhere Southbeach, Mall , Hotspots , Club , Restaurants , supermarkets, drugstores. We will be back to stay with him again. We'r strongly recomend his place.
The location was great- ten minute walk to the beach, 3 minute walk to the main street with restaurants and stores. The apartment was clean and comfortable, there is a kitchen where Chelo left waters and yogurt for us. The area is very quiet and safe. Chelo provides sheets, pillows, and bath towels for all the guests, which saves luggage space!
Overall, it was a good location close to beach & main attractions in a quiet neighborhood. Layout slightly different than pictured, but looked similar to pictures. Beds were comfortable & there were plenty of towels & linens. Soap, body wash, & shampoo provided.
Unfortunately some of the amenities listed were not provided. There was no hot water in the shower, the stove top didn't work & the oven didn't get hot enough to cook anything. There was a hot plate, but it did not supplement for the lack of stove top/oven. The only breakfast foods provided were 4 individualized sizes of cereal, instant coffee, & 2 packets of Ramen. We were under the impression there would be more. The AC never got colder than 74 degrees & we found it better to just leave windows open. Check-in was stressful since no one met us & we had difficulty finding the lock box. A neighbor had to help us. We were also unaware that our building was a different address than originally told. We asked for parking pass (listed as available) 2 weeks prior to trip, but upon arrival, when we asked about it, we were told that it was unavailable for the month of March. The owner offered to pay for some of the parking at the garage, but this made it difficult seeing as we had to move the car during the day. Only 1 key was provided for 4 people, which was difficult if we wanted to split up and do different things. The location was fantastic and the street was very serene, but the amenities should not be listed as they are seeing as several of them were not available.
