Fun beach home! Two bedrooms/two baths . Two car onsite parking! A single family home- not a duplex, so no one else above or below. Indoor laundry & an outdoor shower. Three queen beds. The space
Our home is a fantastic way to enjoy your beach vacation . It is a single family home in the 100 block of the Newport Beach peninsula. Since our location is close to "everything," many of our guests find they never use their car for their entire stay.

With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large well appointed kitchen, two car parking, washer & dryer, and family room, there is room for up to six guests.

Our home is not a duplex which means no one is above or below you, and you are not having to share parking spaces, the washer and dryer, or the outdoor space.

The home's size and layout have comfortably accommodated guests hundreds of times. Our home has also been lucky to host families celebrating wedding anniversaries, birthday celebrations, and holiday get togethers.

Thanks to the two car on-site parking spaces you won't have to spend half your vacation circling endlessly looking (praying) for street parking. This sounds crazy, but can be very true. This is a very popular area and hard to find parking is one drawback to a location where everyone wants to be.

Our past guests have ranged from infants to almost 100 years old. It seems like there is no age restriction when it comes to enjoying the beach!

Guest access
When you stay at our home, we will provide a four digit code for our keyless door locks. Thus, easy access to our home and no losing keys at the beach!

The most important access you will have during your stay, however, is access to the beach- less than 300 feet away. Not only "the beach," but one of the best beaches anywhere in the world.

Location. location, location. In addition to being super close to the beach, we are under 1/2 mile to a grocery store, restaurants galore, shopping, and the world famous Newport Beach boardwalk.

If you enjoy walking and bike riding, you can access both of the Newport Beach piers, the wedge, the ferry to Balboa Island, Huntington Beach, and more without using your car.

When you do use your car (Disneyland, Angel Stadium, Los Angeles, Legoland, San Diego, etc.) our location on the peninsula makes travel easy. Plus, the John Wayne/Orange County airport is just 15 minutes away, and LAX just under an hour. (Depending, of course, on traffic- this is California, after all.)

The City of Newport Beach has very strict noise and party ordinances. These rules are heavily enforced in the Newport Peninsula area where our home and many other vacation homes are located. Thus, guests looking to have a fun, yet quiet and relaxing vacation at the beach are a must.

No large parties! And no gatherings over and above the guests includied in the reservation for our home. If you are looking for a stay that includes words such as "wild," "loud," "rowdy," "party hearty," or "late hours revelry" please pass on booking our home. That's pretty clear, isn't it? Hi, we're Dan & Kathy. We look forward to you enjoying a wonderful corner of the world- Newport Beach, California. Kathy is a semi- retired speech language pathologist. She worked in our local school district as well as taught in two local universities. Her specialty was kids with autism and other special needs. Dan works in real estate and development. We are blessed with two daughters. They both live in San Francisco. One works in maternal outcome research, and the other is in residential construction. We also have two son-in-laws. No surprise that they also live in San Francisco. Thanks to the above we have two grandchildren with a third on the way. In addition, we have hosted four foreign exchange students through AFS over the years- from China, Italy, Argentina, and Norway. Hosting these students for a year each has been a family changing experience for us. We truly consider our family to consist of eight children. We've been Airbnb'ers for several years. We've hosted guests from over ten countries, and from more than twenty US states. Kind of like traveling the world without ever leaving home, isn't it? We have enjoyed staying as Airbnb guests in multiple locations, so we have experienced both sides of this wonderful way to travel. Newport Beach is our full time home, so we know the area well.
