Queen bed in cozy house 20 min walk from Notre Dame, in a quiet neighborhood.
A cozy home, much more comfortable and interesting than a hotel room, walking distance to Notre Dame, safe and free street parking.
Access to the house key to come and go as you please after our initial meeting. Full bathroom is right next door, although shared with occupants from one other room. Kitchen upon prior arrangement, except for breakfast, which is included, and can either be hot/cooked by prior arrangement, or self-serve.
Interaction with Guests
I make it a point to meet and greet my guests upon arrival, show them the house, and get to know them, but after that, I'm available during breakfast time to chat and/or offer suggestions around town, but if you'd prefer to just do your own thing and even self-check-out, that is no problem with me!
It is quiet and yet walking distance to Notre Dame.
No smokers, no alcohol (although a drink with meals is OK). I reserve the right to refuse entry to intoxicated guests.
Please remove your shoes as you enter.
Be respectful of the other occupants in the home by keeping noise to a minimum, and cleaning up after yourself.
Only registered guests allowed in the home.
Heather was a most gracious hostess. Accommodations were exactly as they were described in the listening. her home is in a pleasant residential neighborhood. Her dining room and breakfast provisions were perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at Heather's home. It truly is a home and she's so welcoming and warm! Our room was super clean and comfy - we slept like babies. The weather was particularly cold, but we weren't! Breakfast was fantastic, and we enjoyed visiting with the couple staying in the next room. I was a little nervous about sharing a bathroom - but no more. It was clean and private for the 2 rooms. Location is great for visits to Notre Dame. Victor was gracious enough to give us a ride to the end of the street, though, on game day. All in all, our stay was fantastic and I'd definitely recommend it!
If you are coming back for a ND Football game (or any ND sports game!), this is the perfect place. Clean, close to the campus (20 minute walk) and super nice, helpful hosts. Even if you aren't going to a ND event, this would be a great place to stay. Thank you Heather and Victor for a great visit!
Heather was a nice, attentive and friendly host with useful advice. It was a pleasant stay for a few days and would recommend her to others.

I teach French at IU South Bend, and enjoy discovering new cultures and new people. I am very active and enjoy playing sports, working out, dancing, as well as running and walking my Lab around the neighborhood. I speak French and Spanish fluently (as well as English!), and have been hosting international students in my home for 4 years. I live in the upstairs suite of the house with my husband Victor and our baby girl. I turned to AirBnB starting in 2013 to fill the downstairs rooms when my students and/or step sons are away, and to make a little extra cash to fund our own travels. Would love to have a chat with you about your own travels and swap travel tips, and of course, Notre Dame :)
Please contact me first through message before sending in a reservation request - I would hate for it to expire or have to turn you down if I don't have enough information from you (especially if this is your first BnB experience and you have no feedback yet). If it's not a Notre Dame football week-end, discounts are available, so it is best to establish a conversation first :)
