Really nice house. Bright, large bathrooms, very comfortable beds. In a quiet street genuinely 10 mins from town. Supermarket 200m up the road. Really hospitable host who was very helpful on arrival. We really enjoyed our trip and would certainly recommend this house as a great base in a great town.

I stayed in Margaret's house in Westport for 3 nights with 3 others. We had a lovely time, the house is perfect and has everything you need. We did not meet Margaret personally but there was milk, cheese etc left for us in the fridge which I thought was a nice touch. Only 15 min walk to pubs and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when back in Westport.
Beautiful house in a quaint town. I would stay at this place every time. The house was very close to the city center. Margaret went above and beyond to make sure my stay was good. Highly recommend staying here!!!
We had a lovely relaxing week in Margaret's holiday home. The photos are accurate, but somehow don't do justice to the house, which is spacious and light and feels a lot bigger than it looks from outside.
The house was very clean and well equipped and Margaret kindly stocked up with milk, cheese and basic supplies for us. She is very nice and warm, and showed us how everything worked before she left us to enjoy the delights of Mayo.
A few minutes' walk down the road is a large Tesco, open late every day, with some other shops, so it's very handy for buying food and other necessities. However, I recommend Supervalu in town, which is - surprisingly! - good value and a local business.
The 10-minute walk to the centre of Westport is along a road so it's not the most scenic route, but it's fine. Westport itself is a very attractive town with lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs, and shops selling outdoor gear, holiday souvenirs etc. There's live traditional music in many pubs, and people are polite and friendly.
We had a superb time and really enjoyed our stay. I thoroughly recommend Margaret's house in Westport, which is unbelievably good value.
I have to say, this was the nicest experience I could ever have wished for. The house and neighbourhood was beautiful and even as an added extra the sun was shining :)
Unfortunately Margaret was away the day we arrived but she arranged that we were met and everything was explained brilliantly. We will never forget our time here.
