Margaret met us at the house at the time we agreed. She was very welcoming and her house is really homely and comfortable. Margaret showed us around the house - which is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The house is in a very quiet location about 10mins from the main street. It was a comfortable walk into the town. I would highly recommend this accommodation as a home away from home!
Margaret was there to greet us, even though we arrived earlier than our expected time. She was very welcoming and showed us around the house and explained how things worked, heating and shower etc. There was some food and scones left in the fridge for us, which was very welcome, meaning we did not have to go shopping before having that all important first cup of tea. Margaret gave us some local information and her mobile number,if we needed anything, and then left us to enjoy her lovely home.
I was travelling with three of my adult family and my infant granddaughter. The pictures on the page do not convey the lovely home that Margaret has available to the site. It had all the modern conveniences that one would need for this kind of holiday but with a lovely warm ambiance. The kitchen was very well stocked with any utensil that you would need. The three bathrooms were fully stocked with towels and all toiletries. The beds were very comfortable. The place was spotlessly clean. There is a lovely private back courtyard, if you are lucky enough to get nice weather in the west of Ireland, but that is part of the charm of Ireland. It is situated within walking distance of the town center very close to the train station and a large Tesco.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in West port, by day there are many activities to avail of and by night numerous lovely restaurants and bars with all kinds of music. We will definitely return and I would have no hesitation in stay here again or recommending Margaret's place to friends or family
Thanks again Margaret
Myself and two friends stayed in Margaret's house for two nights. The house was great; very clean, comfortable and a short walk to the centre of town. We met Margaret on our arrival and she was very welcoming and friendly; kindly showing us how to work everything before leaving us to explore the area. She had also left bread, milk, tea etc. which we really appreciated! We would definitely go back and highly recommend this house and host!
Really nice house. Bright, large bathrooms, very comfortable beds. In a quiet street genuinely 10 mins from town. Supermarket 200m up the road. Really hospitable host who was very helpful on arrival. We really enjoyed our trip and would certainly recommend this house as a great base in a great town.
The reservation was canceled 137 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed in Margaret's house in Westport for 3 nights with 3 others. We had a lovely time, the house is perfect and has everything you need. We did not meet Margaret personally but there was milk, cheese etc left for us in the fridge which I thought was a nice touch. Only 15 min walk to pubs and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again when back in Westport.
Beautiful house in a quaint town. I would stay at this place every time. The house was very close to the city center. Margaret went above and beyond to make sure my stay was good. Highly recommend staying here!!!
