Based in super-trendy, arty, exciting, multi-cultural Dalston, zone 2. Transport to the rest of London is easy, with three stations less than 10 minutes away and buses going in every direction. Two minutes walk from Ridley Road Market, ten from London Fields and fifteen from Broadway Market.
Good size double bedroom with comfy, double, futon-style bed, chair, shelves and large desk, in the eaves of an art and book-filled Victorian (built 1900) apartment. The apartment is over two floors and includes a lovely open plan kitchen/ living room with large dining table, big sofa and vintage 50s sideboard and arm chair. Friendly hosts (an artist and a writer) who know the area well.
Five minutes from at least 20-and-counting good-coffee cafes (one about 5 seconds from the door), the best Turkish and Vietnamese in London, a cult Chinese restaurant housed in an old, tiled pie-and-mash shop, lots of gastro-pubs and frequent pop-up restaurants, at least five very nice pubs, two places to buy artisan bread, one health food shop and an amazing Turkish supermarket. A highly regarded theatre and two arthouse cinemas are also within easy walking distance.
On a busy, well-lit road (but with double glazed windows, so nice and quiet). There is a very nice pub opposite which can be a little noisy at weekends, though it closes at 12 so the noise doesn't go on late.
Central heating, good shower and bath, well-equipped kitchen with a range of cookery books, all of which you're welcome to use. High-speed Wifi. iPod dock and hairdryer in your room. Duvet, four pillows, bedclothes and towels provided. Washing machine and iron available for use. Let us know if there's anything else you need and we'll do our best to help.
No parking, although if arranged some time in advance we can get guest permits, which are very expensive.
We've lived in East London for 10 years, most of them in Dalston. We love it and we think you will too.
NB - we generally need a few days notice for bookings, so we may not be the best option for very short notice stays.
We need at least 2 days notice to get the room ready - if you're looking for a last-minute booking, we're probably not it.

Thanks so much! Lovely flat, exactly as advertised. Explained to Jessica and Dylan that I would be working nights the week I was staying and they were brilliant about it.
Just a shame we didn't get to see much of each other.
Very comfy bed, great location.
I had a great three night stay at this flat. Prompt and friendly communications with Jess before I arrived, room was very comfortable and clean (photos are entirely accurate), good wifi, and the neighborhood is great. Jess & Dylan are friendly hosts, and were very flexible in accommodating my weird travel schedule. They even have a handy guide to their favorite coffeeshops, pubs, and restaurants in the area. All in all a great stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back!
Jess and Dylan were the best of hosts. Perfect location and great accommodations.
Thanks for the lovely stay!
We had such a lovely time staying at Jess and Dylan's. I would go as far to say that this was the best AirBnB experience I've ever had.
The room is lovely, the flat is beautiful and Jess and Dylan are absolute sweethearts.
The location is great, very close to the overground and lots of great restaurants and cafes close by.
They were very easy to communicate with from the initial booking right through to the customised list of places to eat and visit that Jess had thoughtfully left on our bed for us.
I would definitely recommend staying with Jess and Dylan to anyone visiting London.
Jessica and Dylan's was a great place to stay while I was moving out of my flat nearby.. they are both really welcoming and friendly, and I learnt a bit more about my local area too. The room was really nice, with a view over the rooftops. Most importantly Jessica put me on to the excellent LondonCoffee app, which I'd somehow never found before!
It is a lovely place and great location-- I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for nice/cozy/peaceful getaway in London.
Jess is a lovely, friendly host. She communicates well and I appreciated her honesty about the Friday/Saturday night noise from the 3 Compasses pub across the road (which is a great pub by the way).
The room is large, clean, warm and light filled from the 2 dormer windows, the bed comfortable (watch out for the wooden frame on the side of the bed when you're getting out). A bath towel, hand towel and cake of lovely smelling soap was on the bed when I arrived. Jess leaves printed information about things around the house and the local area on the desk for guests to make use of, including how to use the TV, washing machine, Wifi, etc. It was nice to sit in bed and (website hidden) home :)
The flat is in a great location and the walk through Ridley Road market to the overland train station is a great experience for your senses. One thing to be aware of is the stairs up to the flat and then the room - if you're not used to narrow stairs (which I'm not) you may find it a bit hard getting your luggage up. But let Jess know if you need a hand.
Jess and Dylan are a great young couple who are very welcoming and easy going. They made room for my food items in their kitchen, invited me to join them for a meal and watch TV with them, and try some of Jess' baking. I enjoyed my stay with them, so much so that I arranged to stay with them again when I returned from my Mediterranean travels. I would definitely stay with them again.
The accomodation in Dalston was rather nice and comfortable and our guests, Jessica and Dylan, were lovely people. We appreciated their "familiar attitude", we lived the house as it was our home. The place is very well connected with the town, by buses and overground. And, rather closed to the house, a fantastic daily multiethnical market, plenty of smells and colours. If you love pubs Jessica will be glad to suggest you a wide variety of interesting places. We do hope to stay there again. Thanks Jessica and Dylan. Rossana and Antonello
Jess and Dylan were amazing hosts! I had never been to London before and they were beyond helpful with my adjustment to the new city. Their recommendations were lovely and they were also very inclusive, inviting me along to the cinema and pub. Not to mention, their flat is beautiful!
We had a very nice stay at Jessica and Dylan's, they acommodated us at very short notice and were fast with communication. The flat as well as the room we stayed in are lovely and Dalston is a great base for exploring London. Jessica and Dylan were very friendly hosts and we recommend staying with them.
