In the city of Milan, family atmosphere, in silent area close to all sites at walking distance. Here you can learn some Italian, speak English, French, a little Spanish and German.
You can rent a bike and start your discovery of the city in a different way without waiting for public transportation and avoiding the traffic. The area is very close to all the main attractions and we will be more than happy to help you organise your time and direct you.
We offer a good breakfast that is included and if you want, and let us know in advance, we can provide dinner for 10 euros.
There are also restaurants, trattorie and pizzerie at walking distance.
If you fly to Linate airport, there's a bus, #73, that will take you here. From Malpensa airport there's a train to downtown.
very friendly people,
I can recommend to stay at Elena's place.
Елена и Филипп чудесные хозяева! Жил у них в марте 2 недели. Замечательная чистая квартира в хорошем доме, достаточно удобное расположение. Лучшее размещение, в следующий раз в Милан только к ним! :)
It's been a week since I stayed at Elena's for a weekend and I'm still delighted when I just think about how that went! Elena and Philip were splendid hosts, welcoming me to their charming place rightaway. The apartment is full of light and colours, has recently and very tastefully been renovated and - certainly due to the warm presence of its inhabitants, their books and vivid stories - has all the character I could hope for in B&B's (or homes, for that matter :-). The location too was quite ideal for visiting Milan: a stone's throw from Linate airport, just a short ride by bus or tram to the centre. And, the area has a number of great restaurants, which are very good value. And my enchanting hosts had great tips in store (as well as various super travel guides on Milan!) about what to see, where to go for good food/coffees etc.
It shows that Elena and Philip are both keen travellers themselves, polyglots, interested in cultural heritage, history, politics, the good life... and that they are passionate-and-critical lovers of Milan (superb combination), which they know inside out. How I enjoyed the conversations over breakfast! Guess I'll have to go back!
In Milan I was only for a few days, need a more days.
I was very well hosted in this apartment.
I want to express my gratitude to Elena and Phillip for hospitality and friendliness. You are great people!
Their house has all the facilities for a comfortable stay, everything is very clean and tidy with the pretty home decor.
City area near this place is nice too, the way to center-point Duomo takes 15-20 min walking. You can take different paths and they all will be interesting.
I recommend this place and these hosts.
Elena is very friendly!
Very sorry that I was able to stay a very short time .....
The next time when I'm in Milan, certainly stay here
Elena, thank you!!)))
I really don't know where to start! this is one of the best Airbnb experiences I have ever had!
Elena is a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful. The flat is much more nicer than pictures, close to center with lots of Restaurants, and cafes around, easily connected to center. The room is very clean, tidy with a private bathroom. I made the booking at the last moment and it was kind of Elena to accept it,
I had a chance to meet Philip who was very kind with me, made me an awesome cappuccino and we had nice conversation in the morning.
unfortunately had no enough time to see Milan properly but won't hesitate to go back to this place again!
This was my first experience with airbnb and it won't be the last thanks to Elena and Philip's wonderful hospitality! They were such lovely, warm and welcoming hosts and I very much enjoyed my time with them. Their place is homely, with lots of books (being both teachers I guess they like to read!) and it has a nice airy feel to it. You can walk from their place to the Duomo, it's a bit of a walk (30mins+/-depending on how fast you walk) but a lovely one that takes you through elegant neighbourhoods. From the balcony of the living area you can see the tip of the Duomo's spire.
Philip was there to greet me when I arrived and offered me all kinds of teas :) He helpfully wrote down tips for getting around the city on the tram and shared a number of maps and sightseeing brochures. I got to talk more with both of them in the evening and the next morning over breakfast. The conversation was easy it was just what I was looking for when I decided to do airbnb instead of staying in yet another hotel. I found Elena to be very gentle and kind -- she insisted I had some food before I retired to bed as I decided to skip dinner having had a late lunch. (But please don't take this to mean you should expect free food as it wouldn't be fair on them, just want to relay her thoughtfulness!)
Some basics - I had a room with a single bed and my own bathroom, both were tidy and clean. Also, there are a few local restaurants and cafes very near the apartment (both rustic choices and modern & hip looking ones); I had a fantastic meal at the one right next door.
I'd definitely be happy to go back and stay with them again next time I'm in Milan. Thank you Elena and Philip!
Ottima esperienza. Sono persone molto cordiali e disponibili. Ora quando vado a Milano so dove andare a dormire.
Elena was an excellent host, great accommodation and location!
