In the city of Milan, family atmosphere, in silent area close to all sites at walking distance. Here you can learn some Italian, speak English, French, a little Spanish and German.
You can rent a bike and start your discovery of the city in a different way without waiting for public transportation and avoiding the traffic. The area is very close to all the main attractions and we will be more than happy to help you organise your time and direct you.
We offer a good breakfast that is included and if you want, and let us know in advance, we can provide dinner for 10 euros.
There are also restaurants, trattorie and pizzerie at walking distance.
If you fly to Linate airport, there's a bus, #73, that will take you here. From Malpensa airport there's a train to downtown.
Elena, and her husband Philip, are excellent hosts - friendly, informative, humourous and kind. They gave me a lot of info about how to get around the city and printed off maps to help me. If you are in town to learn Italian they will gladly speak it with you.
Make sure to ask them how Milan got its name (and add in an extra day for your trip to hear all the details of their response.)
The apartment is very quiet, well equipped and modern. The bathroom you get all to yourself which is nice in a shared AirBnB property.
This was one of my favourite AirBnB stays of all time - and I have stayed in a lot of places. I would recommend Elena and Phil's place very highly.
"Good starting point to discover Milan" that is exactly what this place is!.
Elena was a very helpful, polite. and informative. If you are not sure how to get around she will tell you where to go and how to get there, you wont even need a tourist guide. She will be already prepared with all the information, maps, and directions before you even get to her apartment. Her husband is also very helpful and they will make you feel like another family member. If this is your first visit to Milano or even Italy (like me) you won't feel lost. If I had to come back to Milano I would definitely stay again. by the way, her english is PERFECT. The room is clean and comfortable. Thanks Elena!
First time in milan, elena and family made me feel so welcomed. They treated me like I was a part of the family. Amazing breakfast, and definitely great conversations. Very easy to walk to the centre and close to transport. Definitely a place I would stay again. Thank you elena for such a great insight to the life in milan. X
It was very kind of Elena to accept my booking only for 1 night. The place was very comfortable and the hosts was more then perfect! I was treated as a family member, very welcoming people. I highly recommend to stay with Elena.
Soggiorno piacevole, host gentile, accogliente e accomodante. Posizione strategica. Consigliatissima.
Elena and her family are a perfect host for any newcomers to Milan.
Their warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and readiness to explain the main structure and sightseeings of the city let me enjoy the city despite of a bad weather. The neighbourhood was quiet and the private bedroom was colourful and cosy.
The place is easily reached by public transportation from Central Station- the instructions are well explained on Elena's page. The city center can be easily reached by public transportation and who likes walking, the distance can also be covered on foot. Once again, many thanks to my dear hosts! Hope to see you again before I'll leave Italy in May!
Hi! I'm a teacher of Italian to foreigners and I also teach English to Italian students.
I love reading, travelling, going for trekking and excursions in the Alps and learning about new cultures. I can help you with some ideas on how best to use your time in Milan or the surrounding areas within easy reach.
