About this listing
Kailua town can be busy and hectic, but the house offers you the perfect escape. Lanikai has become a popular spot for beach goers and can be busy especially on the weekends, but the house is situated on the hillside and is a peaceful retreat.
The breezy cool 11'x12' bedroom with an ocean view through a Rainbow Shower tree. It has a queen bed, dresser, desk luggage holders and private bathroom. The rooms are entered through the washer/dryer hallway that is a common area for others to use with consideration to you.
The driveway up to the house has been noted as "challenging" a bit steep and curvy, but you are rewarded with a great view. Store food stuffs in your own mini fridge. Coffee and tea provided. Enjoy use of the fresh water pool located in the center of the open air house. There are beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and snorkeling gear.
Interaction with guests
My aim is to provide as much privacy as possible to my guests but am available to answer inquiries or exchange information.
Lanikai boasts strong community spirit with active and involved residents. Though it has become somewhat busier in the past few years we do our best to maintain a safe neighborhood that can be enjoyed by all.
Car rentals are available in Kailua.
There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill from the house where you can catch a bus into Kailua town with island-wide connections.
The town is a 10 minute drive or bus ride away where an extensive variety of things can be purchased or rented as well as places to eat.
Other things to note
A house cat lives on the property for mouse control. She is discouraged from annoying guests.
Remember that this is the tropics and insects can find their way into our living spaces. Every possible deterrent is being used to limit their access but remember that the house is pretty much open and pests will come through from time to time.

Born and raised in Hawaii, I like meeting new people, playing Japanese card games with friends, reading, and being with my family. I love Hawaii, it's people, and it's history. I'm happy to share my knowledge of things to do and yummy places to eat! I am retired and enjoy hosting and volunteering at the local library.
