These are some of the reasons why people love Charleston Gardens. The neighborhood is its own quiet little world enclosed by East Charleston, Middlefield and San Antonio roads. Residents, however, value its proximity to the freeway as well as shopping possibilities within five minutes of walking (Charleston Shopping Center) or driving (Costco and Target)
Yes bus routes abound, free shuttle to downtown, 15-20 minute walk to San Antonio Caltrain.

Deepa is absolutely wonderful! My boyfriend is not used to air B&B and was traveling a long distance. She was a gracious host and was so much help to us both. Would go back to visit her in an instant! Thanks for everything.
The neighborhood is very handy to central Palo Alto (at least by bike!). Deep was great at communicating, and their dog, though large, is very friendly. I am an old softy, and found the bed too firm for my liking or tolerance.
My 21-year-old son who has a six-month internship in the area stayed here for close to two weeks as he shopped around for a more permanent place to live. It was comfortable, clean, convenient, close to shops and Highway 101, well-equipped and located in a quiet neighborhood with good parking. His hosts were kind and helpful and made sure that he had everything he needed. He says he would definitely stay here again.
Deepa was a wonderful host and the place was great. It was clean and spacious, and being detached from the house made it feel very private. I would gladly stay here again.
Deepa's place is a quiet private spot in a lovely neighborhood, perfect for what I needed: a place to relax after working in Palo Alto. She was a welcoming hostess concerned to make sure I had everything I needed.
Deepa, her husband Piyush, and their family were extremely accommodating and hospitable to a neophyte Airbnb-er like me. The space was exactly what I needed, and really comfortable. They made the first week at my new job go as smoothly as I could have hoped for. Deepa provided all the privacy and quiet I could have wanted, but remained available if I needed anything. I had such a pleasant stay, I re-upped for another week! Great for short stays, and for using as a comfortable and safe spot to experience the Palo Alto area. I highly recommend Deepa and her family as hosts!
