This charming and peaceful one-story Hollywood Hills 2-bedroom home is a true gem! Thanks to new renovations, this home features two bathrooms and white oak hardwood floors throughout. With its great natural light, accommodating layout, and unique terraces and deck, this ideally located Hollywood home makes a wonderful setting for your next getaway.
When you pull up the driveway to the off-street carport you’ll notice the inescapable tranquility and well-tended character of neighboring homes.
Upon entry to the main level, you will be greeted by carefully curated furniture that beautifully compliments the aesthetic of this home and its partially-open, welcoming layout.
The dining room is located just off the entrance with a mid-century modern circular table to accommodate up to five guests.
The kitchen has been beautifully refurbished with newly painted cabinets and slate-finish appliances, including a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender and coffeemaker. Its sleek, modern design and butcher block countertops give this home an upgraded feel. From the kitchen you have a view of both the dining area and outdoor terrace. We've equipped this kitchen with all you need from dish towels, utensils, glassware, plasticware (for the kiddos!) plates, pots, chef’s knives and wine glasses etc...
The living room is ample and perfect in its simplicity. It is adequately equipped with all you need: a comfortable sofa, stone wall fireplace, TV with cable, wifi and DVD player, as well as a land-line phone. We even have a printer for your office needs.
Just off this living room is a balcony, engulfed by mature pine and yucca trees and a glimpse of the iconic Capital Records building.
The bedrooms are just a quick trip down the hallway.
The master bedroom boasts a California King-sized mattress, linens, a small dresser, and ample closet space. A series of picture windows allows you to gaze across the treetops to downtown Hollywood—or draw close the insulated black-out cellular shades for a lazy morning. Direct access to a private deck with an outdoor lounge chair is located off this bedroom.
A recently-added master bath is accessible from this bedroom and features a floor-to-ceiling tiled shower stall, modern black fixtures, David Hockney artwork and a fluted glass window.
Down the hall, the bright and airy guest bedroom has two twin-sized beds plus ample closet space stocked with extra linens and comfortable bedding.
A guest bathroom with full bathtub and rain shower can be found just across the hall.
Next door, you’ll find a recently-installed full-size washer/dryer (with complimentary use and detergent during your stay).
Headed out through the front glass door, you will find a terraced side yard full of succulent plants. Up several stairs, the first level has a nicely shaded area, relaxing outdoor furniture and propane BBQ grill with an outdoor teak dining table for six. Tucked away on that same level are two other lounge chairs in a shaded area. The nighttime-lighted terrace continues upward and features a hillside covered with lavender plants and rosemary (just inhale the fresh scent!). Walk up to a wooden bench for a glass of wine and a glimpse of Hollywood from above. A true escape from your city adventures.

This trendy, entertainment-packed, highly diverse neighborhood of Los Angeles is filled with some of LA's greatest coffee shops, retail shops, restaurants and bars. There will be plenty to do right within your neighborhood. A less than 5-minute walk down the hill and you will find you are in an ideal location for a day of shopping and exploring Franklin Village and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. If you like to stay active you are just a quick trip down to Runyon Canyon and Beachwood Canyon where many active Angelenos gather for daily exercise or a loop around the Hollywood Reservoir. Less than 5 minutes from the 101 fwy, Hollywood Bowl, Arclight Movie Theater as well as both the Ford and Pantages Theatres. You may even see a celebrity or two!
Though there is plenty to do right within your neighborhood, it’s refreshing to know you're 15 min or less from Downtown LA, Arts District, Griffith Park Observatory, Greek Theatre, Los Feliz, Hollywood, Echo Park Lake, Dodger Stadium, Atwater Village. Less than 20 min from Santa Monica, West Hollywood, LACMA, Mid-City and Culver City. As well as easy access via Cahuenga Pass to the Valley’s movie studios, Ventura Boulevard and Universal City Walk.
Let’s face it, LA doesn’t have the greatest public transit system.... except for Hollywood. There are plenty of buses & subways within walking distance to take you around the city. Buses like the 90/91 will take you most places. Hollywood & Vine has a great subway that connects and runs you to different ends of the city.
Other Things to Note
A few home truths to note....
This 2 Bedroom Home. It’s most comfortable for 2-3 guests. But it can accommodate up to 5 guests.
Garden terraces are rustic and, in some places, uneven. Care should be taken when walking around the outdoor terraces.
This home is nestled by the 101 fwy. Though the neighborhood and the home are tranquil, the freeway may cause a little noise. The insulation has been recently upgraded, but the location makes this just a part of the homes DNA.
These are just a few items to note. We hope transparency will make your stay an enjoyable one-- thats our goal!
We know... nobody likes rules. We want nothing more than for you to have a lovely time and for our neighbors to be happy. We ask kindly for your cooperation with the following:
- Strict 5 Guest Maximum
- Quiet Hours 9pm - 10am
- Check in 3pm. Check out 11am
- Deck/Outdoor Hours 9am - 9pm
- No Events without prior authorization
- No Film Shoots without prior authorization
- No Smoking anywhere on the property
- No Pets (unless approved. they will be considered on a case by case scenario)
- Children must be supervised at all times when out in the terrace/patio/balcony area.

I felt very welcome to this property. It was easy to find. This place is adorable. Neat, clean and well decorated with almost every need addressed. Don't forget to bring your own ice though. No ice-maker or trays! The outdoor seating was fun and comfortable and the gardens were well kept. There is an easy walk to nice restaurants and shops. The only downside was that the driveway is a bit challenging and the highway noise required earplugs to sleep. Otherwise, you will definately enjoy this rental.
Presented accurately and is always a treat to stay. Efficient, easy and communicative host. Love the area and hope to stay again soon!
We were over on holiday from Berlin, Germany and stayed for almost a full week in this lovely house. We really couldn't have wished for a better place and experience. Coming home after a long day of roaming the busy streets of LA was just perfect. Close to everything, yet a quiet relaxed neighborhood. All of us loved the great interior design! The hosts were super friendly and helpful, answering all our emails promptly and even offering to send a laundry service, since the washing machine wasn't working. The freeway noise didn't bother us, though we didn't use the outdoor areas due to it being 'winter'.
We rented this home for our family Christmas and it was perfect! My 85 year-old father found the single-level layout easy and the king-size mattress really comfortable. Mom had plenty of kitchen tools to make a bunch of great meals—though we wish there was a knife sharpener! Next time we'd love to use the BBQ. One night, the house slept 5 people which was tight but doable. The mid-century touches and terraced yards were fab. The neighborhood is uber-quiet but close to everything and easy for guests to find (not lost up in the hills like some of our friends' homes). We were 5 minutes from the Hollywood reservoir and Griffith Park and we also did a lot of shopping in the valley on Ventura Blvd which was nice and easy just over the 101. All in all, a great flexible house that felt clean, sunny and friendly. Freeway noise didn't bother us. And Janet and the Ink team were amazing the whole time -- our arrival was easy thanks to a door code, and her email of the home's instructions made using the house a breeze. She's thought of everything. Can't wait to come back!
The house is cozy and cute. We were there during a rainstorm so we lit the fireplace and played music on the couch. The noise from the freeway is soothing, not disruptive, and it's nice to watch the city fly by.
This house was perfect in every way. A mid-century gem nestled in the hills is what was expected and that's exactly what it was. A quiet setting just outside of the action and authentic in its details. The patio gardens and private decks off the rooms were such a nice treat. Very safe area with easy access and nature all around. This first Airbnb experience will be a tough one to beat!
