Sunny north-facing apartment in the Paihia valley, a 2-minute walk to town. Designed as owner's accommodation and now a superb holiday pad for visitors to the Bay of islands. The apartment has one bedroom, and there's a pullout couch in the living area. Included is a detached cabin alongside the car park, with queen bed, wifi access, toilet & washbasin with hot water.

The space
North Base Apartment is very private from the House accommodation above. There is car parking for one car (two stacked or one and a boat), and the school car park directly across the road is available on weekends and holidays.

Finished to the same high standard as North Base House above, the apartment has sleeping for two couples (one in detached cabin) plus limited child sleeping. The bathroom has a spa bath and there are quality toiletries in the toilets. There is a washing machine and shared drier plus washing line.

Out front a north-facing patio has seating for four and a commercial BBQ with s/s hot plate.

We are pet friendly under strict conditions. You must bring pet bedding and dogs are not allowed on the beds or furniture. You must not leave your dog locked up inside unattended at any time. There are pet-friendly restaurants and if you intend to go on day excursions then do not bring your dog. Evidence of these rules being broken will qualify for a special cleaning fee of $250.
If your dog has a genuine accident and you inform us then no special clean will apply.

There's a second double bedroom in the detached cabin next to the car park. Please note that while, it is just 10 metres away in clear view from the main building, it is a 20 metre walk from the more elevated apartment.

North Base is located close to the main shopping centre of Paihia, the tourist hub of Northland. Situated facing north in a series of valleys, the historic town has its own micro climate. That makes it ideal for visiting in the winter, when you will find it noticeably warmer than nearby towns.

Paihia beach and lively Kings Rd bars are an easy walk but far enough away to not cause any disturbance. The setting looks out to the park and town, with a glimpse of the Bay of Islands beyond.
