The Space

My place is available for SXSW Music from 3/12- end of conference. You can't beat my place for location and price. I'm charging $800/night for 8 people. Each additional person is $100 a piece. You can't beat $100 a person for SXSW.

1. We are 2.04 miles and 5 minutes from the Austin Convention Center according to Mapquest.

2. Yellow Cab says it's an $8.27 fare.

3. We are a 15 minute walk to a hotel shuttle that will take you right to the ACC.

4. If you can ride a bike, you're there in 15 to 20 minutes. A little longer coming back because it's uphill.

5. Sleeps 8 super easy and up to 12 people in individual beds (15 if you double up).

Dates I will rent my house during SXSW
Music- 12th through the 16th

First off, if you have any questions, just call. There's so much info out there on the internet that sometimes it's just nice to talk to someone.

This is a spacious modern house that sleeps 8 super easy and up to 12 people in individual beds (15 if you double up). The bedrooms are set up to accommodate couples or singles. My home is recently remodeled with an open kitchen/dining/living room design, concrete floors and a nice patio in a great backyard. We have wifi, washer/dryer, cable, and a charcoal grill. In short, super comfy for small groups and enough space, beds, pillows, and wine glasses as a great place for large groups.

The master bedroom has a super plush king size bed and a swanky-ass bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The three upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom that has two sinks. There is a half bath just off the downstairs reading nook. Each bedroom has it's own closet and mirror.
The living room has a 40' flat screen TV with surround sound and cables to hook up your laptop for music or movies. One of the upstairs bedroom has a 42' flatscreen as well. We have a secure wi-fi with stepped up speed from the basic plan. There is off-street parking for 2 cars and plenty of on street parking.

The breakdown of how many beds/people:
Master bedroom- King + optional twin= 1-3 people;
East Upstairs Bedroom- 2 twins (can be made into a king) + optional twin= 1-3 people;
North Upstairs Bedroom- 2 twins (can be made into a king)= 1-2 people;
West Upstairs Bedroom- 2 queens + 2 optional twins)= 2-6 people;
Downstairs Reading Nook- Twin day bed= 1 person.
So 8 people is super comfy and up to 15 people!!! Bring the whole family!

I am located about 5 minutes from downtown Austin, South Congress and St. Edwards. We are super conveniently located for access to the Texas State Capital, UT football, basketball and baseball, 6th St., and the airport (estimated 13 minute cab ride). We are just south east of downtown, so we're also conveniently located for The Circuit of the Americas race track and Formula 1. Barton Springs is about a 15 minute drive, unless ACL is in town, then it's anyone's guess with traffic.

A note about SXSW. This house is perfect for SXSW and has always been booked for the conference. This works perfectly for companies as well as people who are here just for fun. You can ride a bike to the heart of 6th St. in 10-15 minutes. It's uphill on the way home, so it takes a little longer. SXSW has rented bikes for the past 2 years or I can help you rent them. Most bike shops run out fast, so the sooner you book, the better your chances. It will be the fastest way to get around Austin. Any questions about SXSW, including production or logistics questions, I can help with that.

I am in the Car 2 Go service area. I can put you in touch with bike rental companies and can have the bikes waiting for you when you arrive.

All in all, I've tried to make the place as accommodating as possible. There are a bunch of wine glasses, coffee cups, cook ware, towels and blankets. There are a bunch of pillows that are all kind of different so you can find one you like.

TAXES: Rental rates to not include taxes. A 15% hotel tax will be added to the final rental rate and must be paid before you can move in. This can be paid via pay pal or with a check on the day of move in.
OUTSIDE QUIET TIME: After 10:00 at night, any partying needs to be moved inside. We are in a neighborhood and my neighbors are really sweet people that I don't want to disturb.

Security deposit is negotiable and is refundable after check out.

I do have two dogs. Obviously, they will not be here during your stay. There are chickens, but you won't have to care for them, but you will get fresh eggs left on the patio table in the morning.

All in all, we're pretty accommodating, and pretty much try to keep it easy and comfortable.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We had a great stay at Frank's house. We had 8 guests and the house was made up to accommodate us very comfortably. Frank Sr. met us on the first day and gave us a thorough tour, complete with an introduction to the chickens! The house was clean and spacious, and the backyard was very comfortable to hang out. The location was central to all things Austin, and very easy to navigate around the city. Frank was easy to coordinate with before, during, and after the trip.

  • Franks house was great. Lots of beds for a large group to sleep in, roomy and comfortable, all the amenities needed. The chicken coop is a nice touch. Would recommend!

  • Frank was a really great host. He sets the house up the best way possible for your group, and unless you need something, leaves you alone to enjoy Austin. As for the house, it's a great location and big enough that a group of ten can spread out and be incredibly comfortable. next time I'm in Austin, I won't hesitate to contact Frank.

  • Frank's place is huge! Great for large groups. My startup of 8 stayed here a whole week and we had a blast.

    We worked during the day (the place is comfortable, clean and well furnished), and we went downtown to 6th at night to party.

    BIG - can fit 12 adults easy.
    Close to downtown - 7 mins by car of cab.
    Nice backyard - we had lots of chats here.
    Attentive and friendly hosts (Frank Jr and Sr.)

    I would highly recommend this place.

  • Frank was great! The house is in a great location. I went with a group of 10 people for the Tough Mudder and Frank made sure we had enough beds. Other perks included fresh eggs in the morning, clean towels and linens, and a great backyard and outdoor shower. We would definitely stay there again!

  • Frank was readily available from the start, offering his help with anything we might need to make our stay comfortable. We had quite a large crew for SXSW and Frank made sure all of the bedrooms were set up according to our wishes.
    The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable. You can't beat the location either. Whether you are in town for SX, a movie shoot, or on a family vacation, this house would be a great pick-thanks Frank!

  • We booked this house for SXSW. It was great! As a work group of unrelated male and females Frank was extremely accommodating in our needs such as making sure we had separate beds for all the guest. His beds are very comfortable and a home that is very clean. Outdoor area was relaxing and the distance to downtown extremely convenient. I highly recommend Franks house for family gatherings, work gatherings, girls/guys night out or just a relaxing weekend in Austin!

I'm pretty much a laid back guy who works closely with SXSW. I bought this house to flip it and after rebuilding it, ended up living in it with my two dogs. Since I won't be in it during SXSW, I' like to lease it out. Gawd knows the money would help. I do take pride in the house as I either did most of the work or helped do it. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call. I can answer a ton of questions about the logistics of SXSW if it's your first time negotiating the conference. Thanks and good luck! Frank
