The studio was very nice. I stayed four nights. It is an older home, with the appropriate charm (claw foot bathtub, hardwood floors with pleasant squeak), and smelled fresh and clean. There is a pleasant cross breeze for warmer days. The neighborhood was older historic residential, and felt very secure. I was walking a lot after dark, and never unsafe. It is a short walk to the riverwalk, and about 25 minutes to walk to city center. Also very close (3 blocks) to an arts district. Eclectic restaurants were also a short distance. Only drawback was some night time noise. There are train tracks a little ways away, and a party that let out about 3:30 one morning. I would be happy to stay at Siboney's place again.
My girlfriend and I's weekend in the loft was fantastic. The loft had everything we could want/need for a weekend stay. The beds even had a chocolate on the pillow, a lovely little touch. Even though we didn't get a chance to meet Siboney, she made herself available through several different communication channels in case there was anything we needed. We look forward to staying in the loft again sometime!
Siboney was an excellent communicator, thoughtful and quick to respond, looked out for us once we arrived. Foyer was full of traveler information and the living area had lots of amenities such as shampoo, snacks, beverages, etc. We loved the charm and simplicity of the place. The location was close to the Riverwalk, Blue Star Arts District and Guenther House. Loved the separate sitting, sleeping, eating, bath areas. Place was spotless and very comfy. Would stay there in a minute.
Siboney although busy with her work schedule made checking in and communicating with her a breeze. The studio was just as pictured and the King William District is a lovely neighborhood.
The apartment was in great shape and in a really good area that was central to everything we needed to be near. Siboney had everything we could need ready for us when we got there and it made our stay in San Antonio that much better. When I find myself in San Antonio again in the future I will try to stay here again for certain.
I have plenty of cards for the local uncommon ground grocery store about a 15 min walk from the house.
As an architect, I have designed several alternatives that would yield a standing shower but all of which would change the roof structure or have the shower head hitting people in the neck. I lived upstairs for 3 years so I totally understand the difficulty. Also it was not my decision to have a clawfoot tub. That was part of a 1982 renovation to the house and I added the handshower.
Thanks for the feedback!
Siboney was a great host when we staying, and the house was clean and cozy, everything was fantastic! It was the one of the best accommodation we have ever stay, thank you so much!
Siboney's place is just wonderful. It is a spacious and beautiful apartment with more than enough room for 2. We loved staying in this part of town, and it is just close enough to the city's bicycle rental system that we can get anywhere we needed.
Siboney was a fantastic host, leaving out so many recommendations and information about great bars and restaurants in the area. She was a great communicator, making sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend her as host.
