Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Nestled at the foot of Whitehorse mountain in the midst of the North Cascades, a Shepherd’s Retreat is a working sheep farm. The farm is one of the few historic homestead farms in Snohomish County. Located within the North Cascades there is great hiking amazing views within a half hour drive. The town of Darrington is 5 miles away with restaurants, a pharmacy and grocery. The farmhouse has been recently updated and restored to allow guests maximum comfort, but able to live close to the land.

The space
The Great room is a huge living space with a piano, plenty of books and games and a flat screen TV serviced with Dish TV. The views of the mountain are ever changing and breathtaking

The Mountain room is the Master bedroom that looks out at the same Mountain View . It has great natural light and a huge desk useful for writing and reflection.

The Garden room is the upstairs room with a view of the garden and barn. The desk here is large for space to spread out a project. Decorated in a soft yellow with red accents it is cheery and bright.

The pasture room looks out where the sheep graze . Soft greens reflect the same peace as the pasture. It also has a desk for writing and contemplating the nature you are viewing

Both the bathrooms are spacious and include towels, shampoo and soap

The farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped with equipment and space to make cooking for 6-8 a breeze. There is a supplied Keurig coffee maker and kettle for tea. It is also decently supplied with most cooking essentials: oil, salt/pepper, tea, spices, foil .

Guest access
The front yard is fun to sit in and look at the mountain. Included here is a small fire pit for evening fires.
The backyard is fenced for a pet. The driveway for parking for 2 cars is in front of the garage

My husband and I work on 2 continents. We spend 9 months in Germany and 3 in Seattle. We do leadership development and management consulting. When in Seattle we live on our farm "A Shepherd's Retreat " and recharge our batteries. Scott writes from there and I develop my passion in farming by raising a flock of sheep and training border collies.
