There were so many great things about staying at Luna's, but unfortunately there was one thing that kind of soured the experience. Let me start with the good: Luna is very sweet, generous, and so helpful. She tried really hard to accommodate us with English (and she does a pretty good job), which is nice because my wife and I know almost no Japanese. Also, she gave us some complimentary rice cakes! Then, when we asked for a tempura recommendation and the location of the nearest post drop box for our rental mi-fi, she messaged us back with both. And everything about the room is exactly as described--it has everything you would need and then some. Sadly, though, the next morning (after my wife finished her shower) there was no hot water. We fiddled around with the fuse breakers for a while and eventually her husband came over to look at it. Still nothing. I got to go with him to take a shower, but the big bummer was that it delayed our getting out to see Tokyo on the last day of our trip to Japan. Luna offered to let us check out late, but by then we were already out the door to explore. I really wish I could give this a perfect review because Luna is awesome and it seems like just a random, rare unfortunate circumstance, but it wouldn't be fair for me to not share the bad with the good. My recommendation: read all the reviews for Luna's place. If I'm the only one with this experience, you're probably safe to have a great time in Tokyo here.
Luna is well organised so checkin was smooth and without problems. Place is in perfect location, has all necessary equipment.
Great host, great place, loved the hood. Luna was very patient with helping us find her and showing us to her place. The mobile wifi is worth it's weight in gold and then some. Her place is just like the pictures and as described, nothing more, nothing less. And I loved being in a quieter part of town yet close to everything. Thank you Luna!!
Luna was very welcoming and friendly. The place was great although it was small and compact but it was comfortable. The place is at a convenient location with the subway being nearby.
Luna was a wonderful host. Everything was as described and she even left us some Japanese snacks & guidebooks. We found the apartment to be perfectly located on a quiet street but very close to everything that we wanted to see. Highly recommend.
Luna-san was excellent communicator with great care.
The apartment was perfect for short stay (you get what you need), clean, easy access, excellent location and v reasonable price.
Plenty of restaurants, convenient stores near by.
We'd like to come back again if it's available.
