Our guesthouse is a family run bed & breakfast. We have been in business over c.15 years. We pride ourselves on a friendly welcoming guesthouse with up to date modern but cosy rooms
Maeve was very sweet and welcoming. We called her to get directions and she made it very easy for us to find the place. She was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. She also gave us recommendations on places to walk and restaurants to eat at! We left pretty early for the airport and she made sure there was a taxi waiting for us and she had some breakfast out as well which was so nice of her. The house was very cute and the room was clean and cosy :) Thank you Maeve for everything!
I would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Dublin. Both Maeve and her husband are very welcoming and make you feel at ease straight away. They are more than happy to answer any questions that you might have when you arrive. I had went to a concert in Croke Park and found it an ideal location. There home is an a very nice area with excellent transport links.
Absolutely lovely B&B near Dublin! My friend and I spent 3 nights here during the St. Patrick's Day festivities. HOST: Maeve was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. You can tell she truly enjoys hosting and taking care of people. Upon our arrival, she offered to order pizza for us since our flight got in fairly late, this was very thoughtful of her. She asked us what time we would like breakfast the following morning and what we would like to eat. Every morning we had delicious scrambled eggs with warm tomatoes, yogurt and cereal, toast with butter and jam, orange juice, and a choice of coffee or tea. One morning we ate breakfast with two other guests who had sausage, bacon, and poached egg. Our first morning, we didn't have change for the bus to take into town, and she was quick to offer and provide us with the exact change. We really appreciated that! Overall, I cannot say enough great things about Maeve. We were sad when we had to say goodbye to her! ROOM/BATHROOM: Our room was very clean, quaint, and well-appointed. There was one double bed and one single bed, a large closet, and a small flat screen TV. Comfy beds and pillows! There was a kettle, mugs, and tea/coffee in the room also. Our room was tended to daily. The shared bathroom was also spotless and cleaned daily (sometimes multiple times a day). Something to keep in mind if you're tall, the shower has a slanted roof and is not very high. My friend and I are both around 5'4", so this wasn't an issue for us, but I could see it being inconvenient for taller people. That being said, water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. NEIGHBOURHOOD: The house is on a very nice, quiet, cute street in Clontarf. About a 3 minute walk from the bus stop, and about a 20 minute bus ride into Dublin. Bus is 2.70 euros per ride and taxi was about 12-15 euros to get to Dublin. Taxi from the airport was about 30 minutes and cost approximately 20-25 euros. Also, Clontarf Castle is only a 20 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Dublin!
