The Space

This is a fabulous newly renovated studio condo at the Inn at SilverCreek in Granby, Colorado. Good for any season, it is less than 1 mile from Sol Vista Ski area and 15 miles from Winterpark Ski area. It is also very near Grand Lake, Lake Granby, Hot Sulpher Springs, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

The Apt: The apt is newly renovated with stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and tile in the kitchen and bathroom. There is a flatscreen LCD TV with cable, a fireplace, and a very nice outdoor patio. The apt has outdoor access as well as access through the hotel.

The apt sleeps 4 with a queen bed, and a futon that folds out into a double bed. Although there are not separate rooms, the bed can be curtained off to make a separate sleeping area from the futon. The apt. is fully furnished and the kitchen stocked with everything but the food! There is wi-fi available.

At the Inn: There is a gym in the Inn, wi-fi in the lobby, a restaurant that is open for dinner and drinks, a small convenience store, a steam room, hot tub, and pool. There is a grocery store across the street as well as several restaurants that deliver in the area. There are tennis courts and golf courses available for use in the summer.

The condo is but a short drive from the splendor of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Sol Vista ski area is right next door, and it is also 10 minutes from Winterpark Ski area, and Hot Sulphur Springs. A nice quiet retreat into the beautiful outdoors.

Pets might be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Our stay at Erin's place was exactly what we were looking for. Barely a 20 minute drive to Winter Park Resort, it was well worth staying here over paying a ridiculous price for a Slopeside condo. The grocery/liquor store and gas station across the street from the property made things very convenient to get food or other supplies. Also, we really enjoyed using the hot tubs, and the indoor/outdoor pool! Made for a great body therapy after being on the hill all day.

My only caution is the fold-out sofa in the unit wasn't what I was expecting. I had thought it was a full pull-out sofa, but it just folds down more like a futon. It's just barely big enough for two. We had four guys staying for a week. One just ended up using a cot they brought to have more room. So just be aware if you're sharing beds, the sofa will fit two, but it's a cozy fit.

This detail did not make our stay any less enjoyable, but I just wanted to point it out so others didn't make the same wrong assumptions as I did.

Overall I would absolutely recommend Erins place to anyone looking for an affordable, easy stay that's near Winter Park.

Thank you, Erin, for the great accommodations!

  • We had a great weekend in Granby. The location of this place is really convenient to the ski area and Hot Sulphur Springs. And we appreciated and took advantage of the many amenities in the building: arcade with air hockey and pool, indoor/outdoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, workout room, community game room with fire place, and a bar/restaurant. Please note that the futon does not seem to be double-bed size. We'd planned for our 8 and 11 year old kids to sleep on it and it was too small for both and one ended up sleeping on the floor. Lots of kitchen supplies--plenty of pots, pans, spatulas, knives, etc., making it easy for us to do most of our meals there. Lots of extra blankets, which was also appreciated.

  • This place was perfect for me! I just had a relaxing weekend and this was the best place to cozy up next to the fire since it snowed all weekend! There's nothing like taking a steam bath while it's snowing and not having to walk back through the hotel bc it's in your room! I loved it here, would definitely recommend!

  • The room was wonderful. It was the perfect size for two. The lodge had a great hot tub, pool and sauna. It was just minutes from winter park and it was definitely cozy to come home to after a long day of snowboarding. I loved it and would recommend to anyone!

  • Erin has a great place! Very nice and cozy, well furnished with a comfortable bed and stocked with everything you could need. Also, a very convenient location with a gas station and a grocery store right down the street and just a short drive anywhere in Grand county, from Winter Park to Grand Lake. It's a great value and a terrific stay!

  • Great location between Winter Park and Grand Lake. You will have lots to do. The facility is in great shape and you can even eat in the restaurant if you like. We didn't, but the food smelled great. Enjoy!

  • What a great week of hiking, with a wonderful home base to come back to. Be sure to stop at The Rapids in Grand Lake for indoor or outdoor lunch.. The Cobb salad is to die for. If you are doing day hikes, be sure to go to Cascade Falls and then go another 1.3 miles to a good swimming hole with a jumping rock. ( It's high, I would not suggest it for kids.)
    Thank you Erin !

My husband I and live in the apartment together. We both work long hours and are out a lot during the day. We are generally pretty easy going. We don't ask you keep any set hours, we are heavy sleepers. Linens and towels are included in the price. I work as an attorney for the Federal Government and my husband is a Civil Engineer and a real estate broker. We enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, hiking, camping, and many other outdoor sports.
