If you tire of the Mission, you can reach the Castro by foot in 15 minutes. Hayes Valley and Lower Haight are about a 20 minute walk away. Bernal Heights, Noe Valley and Alamo Square are all within a lovely 30 minute stroll on foot.

We absolutely loved staying at Lindsay and Nicole's flat in Mission! While the hosts were away when we were due to arrive, access instructions were clear, everything was in perfect order and Lindsay let us know we could get in touch if we needed anything at all/had any questions. The apartment was a quiet and cosy place to come home to every day after exploring beautiful San Francisco - but you needn't go far, as there is so much to see and do (and eat) right in the Mission area around the flat. Highly recommended!
This was one of the best airbnbs I've been to - it was cozier than a hotel room, very clean, and a really great location. There's so much to do just around the corner. I'd highly recommend staying here!
Comfortable bed and shower, were most enjoyable. Minimalist provisions. Close to Valencia St with good coffee and eating places. Avoid Mission St. unless going to BART train.
We didn't meet Lindsay as she was out of town but her communication was excellent and informative. We also had a second host to contact if we had needed to. We had no need to, we loved the studio. It was very clean and well decorated, we had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed, which is a must have for me! The studio is on a quiet street with the BART and buses close by as well as vibrant Valencia Street which has some great places to eat, drink and shop.
We would definitely recommend this as a place to base yourself to explore San Francisco.
The place was very nice, comfortable and very clean. There is everything you need: hair dryer, iron, ...
We stayed 3 nights and we enjoyed the neighborhood. There where a lot of restaurants and Lindsay helped us with her adresses.
Lindsay answered very quickly and she's very helpful
We love this place! The studio was perfectly clean and well decorated. I was glad to find a hairdryer :)
The matress was of very good quality, we had a good night rest - with is one very important thing for me when travelling!
We spent 3 days at the studio ans really enjoyed the neighborhood. There are lots of restaurants, supermarkets and public transportation.
If you have a car, it is very hard to park but there is a (email hidden) & 16th st.
We did not meet Lindsay and Nicole because they were out of town but everything went alright
About the Host, Lindsay
Neither of us are native to San Francisco but we feel most at home here. Lindsay is an elementary teacher in the city, and Nicole works in photography. Both of us love spending our weekends walking our two dogs all over town, riding bikes, going to baseball games, and searching for new places to acquire delicious desserts and strong coffee.
