Welcome to the sunny Mission District! Our neighborhood is packed with cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Spend the day walking around and sampling local flavor, or grab a blanket and spend an afternoon taking it all in at Dolores Park
It would be our pleasure to host you in our cozy studio centrally located in the heart of the bustling Mission Dolores neighborhood.
We live upstairs and keep this space for guests only. This studio has a private entrance through our home's garage and is located at the back of the building and away from street noise.
The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, down comforter, and includes linens. The bathroom is stocked with towels, soaps, and shampoo. The unit has fast wireless internet.
Our studio comes with a complete kitchen which features basic utensils, a stove, oven, and refrigerator. If you find yourself needing something, simply let us know and we'll bring it downstairs!
Located at the garden level, however, there is no garden access.
Interaction with Guests
The unit offers as much privacy as you'd like. We live upstairs and have lived here in the Mission for 9 years. We are happy to provide recommendations, cooking utensils, and tips for getting around the city. We are available via phone or text.
Our studio is located on a quiet side street in one of the best and liveliest locations in the city with many restaurants, cafes and shops just around the corner on Valencia Street.
A ten minute walk will get you to Dolores Park, Whole Foods, yoga studios, coffee shops and countless other restaurants, bars, music venues, and galleries.
If you tire of the Mission, you can reach the Castro by foot in 15 minutes. Hayes Valley and Lower Haight are about a 20 minute walk away. Bernal Heights, Noe Valley and Alamo Square are all within a lovely 30 minute stroll on foot.
We are 3 blocks from the 16th Street BART station which enables easy and quick access to Downtown, Union Square, the Embarcadero, Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco International Airport.
We are one block from the 22 Fillmore Muni (bus) stop which will take you all over town! The J-Church Muni stop is a 5 minute walk from our place.
Street parking in our neighborhood is restricted to 2 hours during weekdays and is unlimited on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a public parking garage a few blocks away on Hoff street that our guests have used for about $25/day.
Other Things to Note
We live upstairs with our dogs. Although street noise isn't much of an issue, guests should be aware that they will hear footsteps overhead.
Please send us a message before booking if you plan on checking in later than 11pm.
Check-out is 11am. Check-in is 3pm.
Quiet hours after 10pm.
We kindly request that you not bring additional guests to the studio beyond those in the reservation.
Stayed a couple of days at the studio and we really enjoyed and liked it. It was super easy to get there with the BART train from the airport. Lindsey and Nicole was really welcoming and helped us if we had questions. The studio has everything you need for a short stay.
Would definitely recommend!!
I stayed here for a short vacation in SF. The place looks exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean and neat. Nicole greeted us and showed us the place. She was very welcoming and was quick to respond!
The studio is in such a great location. So many cafes, bars and restaurants available walking distance! Lindsay and Nicole were thoughtful enough to leave travel notes, recommended places to eat, and even left brochures of popular attractions. It was very helpful for people like us who are new to SF. They even left some snacks which I am guilty of eating...
We parked our car in a near by garage. They charged us $22 for all day parking. Street parking wasn't difficult when we went (St. Patrick's Day weekend).
Thanks Lindsay and Nicole!
The quiet mission studio was fantastic! Lindsay and Nicole met us at the door (even at a later check in time!), showed us the place, and answered our questions. They were also very responsive in the correspondence leading up to our trip. They provide books and lots of info about the area and SF in general.
We were a little skeptical that the studio would really be quiet considering the location, but it truly was. It's tucked in far enough away from 16th that it's very peaceful. The inside is very warm and welcoming as well. Ample closet space if you need it, and an updated, clean bathroom. Bed is firm, but not bad.
But this place is all about location. If you want to get a 'real' San Francisco experience, that isn't filled with tourists, stay here! You'll be in a great neighborhood that has tonnes of restaurants and shops, and you're super close to all the public transportation to get you anywhere in the city.
We had a great stay at Lindsay's Air Bnb in the mission district of San Francisco.
At the time of our check in we picked up the keys from a nearby cafe using the keycafe service.
Once checked in we made ourselves comfy in the studio hideaway directly below the main house.
It's conveniently located for the nearby BART station. Around the corner Valencia street in the mission is awesome for bars, restaurants, boutiques and shopping.
And with their studio also having a small kitchen, we picked up some groceries from the nearby whole foods so we could make ourselves breakfast on 2 of the 3 days we were there.
Wifi was quick and reliable, the shower ran good pressure, the bed was on the soft side for us, but that's personal preference really.
As Lindsay points out on her Air bnb page you may occasionally hear foot steps over head, we noticed this a little, but not to the point of irritation. We slept really well the whole time, perhaps because we were so busy the whole time we were in town that we were down for the count by the time we hit the bed.
It was also great to meet and chat with Lindsay and Nicole. They have the place set up really well for travellers and we would definitely stay there again when in SF.
My girlfriend and I stayed in the studio for six days and we were very comfortable there. It was just as described here on Airbnb. The street where it's located is quiet even though it's just a short walk away from many nice restaurants, shops, bars, etc.
Lindsay and Nicole made us feel welcome and their guidebook with local recommendations was great.
I recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for a calm place to stay in Mission that is close to Valencia Street and public transportation.
Lindsay was very communicative and the apartment was exactly how it was shown in the photos. The only small issue was you had to walk thru the garage to get to the apartment, and the garbage was kept there so the entrance had a tendency to smell of garbage a bit in the walk in. However Lindsay was happy to remove it daily and try to improve things.
Great location, so close to the action but yet so quiet. Very clean, it had everything you need. So many great places to eat with local, sustainability and organic values. Great communication with Lindsay and Nicole. Would recommend.
Neither of us are native to San Francisco but we feel most at home here. Lindsay is an elementary teacher in the city, and Nicole works in photography. Both of us love spending our weekends walking our two dogs all over town, riding bikes, going to baseball games, and searching for new places to acquire delicious desserts and strong coffee.
