The space

It would be our pleasure to host you in our cozy studio centrally located in the heart of the bustling Mission Dolores neighborhood.

We live upstairs and keep this space for guests and family only. This studio has a private entrance through our home's garage and is located at the back of the house and away from street noise.

The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, down comforter, and includes linens, a hairdryer, flat iron, toiletries, and iron & board. The bathroom is stocked with towels, soaps, and shampoo. The unit has it's own fast wireless internet.

Our studio comes with a complete kitchen which features basic utensils, tea kettle, stove/oven, and refrigerator. If you find yourself needing something, simply let us know and we'll bring it downstairs!

Guest access

Located at the garden level, however, there is no garden access.

Interaction with guests

The studio offers as much privacy as you'd like. We live upstairs and have lived in our house for 11 years. We are happy to provide recommendations, cooking utensils, and tips for getting around the city. We are available via phone or text.

The neighborhood

Our studio is located on a quiet side street in one of the best and liveliest locations in the city with many restaurants, cafes and shops just around the corner on Valencia Street.

A short walk will get you to Dolores Park, Whole Foods, yoga studios, coffee shops and countless other restaurants, bars, music venues, and galleries.

If you tire of the Mission, you can reach the Castro by foot in 15 minutes. Hayes Valley and Lower Haight are about a 20-minute walk away. Bernal Heights, Noe Valley, and Alamo Square are all within a lovely 30-minute stroll on foot.

Getting around

We are 3 blocks from the 16th Street BART (public train) station which enables easy and quick access to Downtown, Union Square, the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

We are one block from the 22 Fillmore Muni (bus) stop which will take you to the Marina through the Lower Haight and Fillmore. The J-Church Muni stop is a 5 minute walk from our house and will take you to Noe Valley and Downtown. The N Muni train will take you through the Sunset neighborhood, Golden Gate Park (2 blocks from the stop) and all the way to Ocean Beach.

Street parking in our neighborhood is restricted to 2 hours during weekdays and is unlimited on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a public parking garage a few blocks away on Hoff street that our guests have used and costs about $25/day.

Other things to note

We live upstairs with our dogs. Although street noise isn't an issue, guests should be aware that they will hear footsteps overhead.

Check-in is 3pm.

We do not offer guest access to our washer or dryer. There is a laundromat just around the corner, a short walk from our house.

Neither of us are native to San Francisco but we feel most at home here. Lindsay is an elementary teacher in the city, and Nicole works in photography. Both of us love spending our weekends walking our two dogs all over town, riding bikes, going to baseball games, and searching for new places to acquire delicious desserts and strong coffee.
