THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The Versailles neighborhood is a constantly growing area. Four years ago when the Nice 266 building was built, it was one of the first buildings to flourish in this beautiful cobbled neighborhood. It has a special magic because together with its residents from all over the world, they are making a rather 'hipster' coexistence space full of places to have breakfast, eat or have a drink, far enough from the tourist hustle and bustle but not far from the center and the romantic area just 15 minutes away by car. The food options you have in the area are among the best in the entire port. You can find a page on Instagram called Ruta Versalles where you can explore the magic of the neighborhood. You can get everything from tacos al pastor to delicious Greek food. Most of the streets have cobblestones, which makes the climate very favorable. We can even say that we have a micro-climate within our neighborhood. Many residents of the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world are making this neighborhood their home, so it won't be uncommon to meet many friends from other countries.
Not far from the Versailles neighborhood, and just 2 blocks from our building walking to the Fluvial Avenue you can find a residential complex that also has everything, it is called “Fluvial” there you will find everything from shopping malls, public transport, taxis, you can walk to the famous supermarket “COSTCO” and use your membership to purchase world-class products. Also close by is the super “FRESCO” which is the Mexican version of one of the best supermarkets, local products, restaurants and many options you can find. We wouldn't finish mentioning all the attractions that the whole area has as a whole, but its proximity to everything makes the neighborhood one of the most accessible to get everything. It is located near the North hotel zone, where the large hotel chains started. We are just a 15-minute walk from the “La Isla” shopping mall, which is the best shopping mall in Puerto Vallarta, nightclubs, bars, discos, casino, Plaza Caracol shopping mall, and Parota Center shopping mall. Discover for yourself everything the area has to offer. The area also offers a wide range of options in medical and dental treatments and we can be a good option to be close to your doctor.
At night the neighborhood is quite quiet and we can enjoy the tranquility that it offers. We love to go clubbing in the downtown area, but when we get tired we know we'll come home to a quiet place to rest.
The area is the most central in the city, because we are right in the center of everything, between the southern area of Puerto Vallarta and the remote and luxurious Punta de Mita.
Our neighborhood is full of places to exercise, do yoga, crossfit, go to the gym, or work out on your own.
RESTAURANTES
Enjoy everything from ramen, chilaquiles, Greek, Chinese, French, Japanese food and of course tacos. Search social media for “RUTA VERSALLES” to find a great diversity in the cuisine that only La Versalles can offer you. In addition, the gastronomic offer ranges from simple places to the most luxurious restaurants that the city offers, just to mention a few and our favorites in the perimeter of the North Hotel Zone, just a 15-minute walk from the apartment, enjoy Nayaritas seafood in the delicious restaurant “CAMPO MAR”, a gourmet and fashion experience in the unparalleled gourmet space of Poncho Cadena “LA LECHE” or enjoy a festive experience with international dishes in the delicious place “LA MADALENA” do not forget to order the mac and chess with lobster. In a more Mexican atmosphere, “PORFIRIOS” can be an option to start the night.
THE BEACH ON YOUR OWN
There are many options quite close to our apartment. First, we want to tell you that in the apartment you will find 4 beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler to go to the beach. If you like peace and quiet and walking on your own, it is an excellent option to explore the beaches closest to our building, such as those beaches far away in Nayarit or in the central or southern part of the city. Our chairs are Tommy Bahama brand, which convert into backpacks with a tiny icebox with room for 2 beers. You can carry it on your back and walk comfortably, take the bus or taxi. Search social media for the city's best beach guides and enjoy on your own. I wouldn't miss the opportunity to go to my 2 favorite beaches, which are “Cochas Chinas” and of course “Playas Gemelas”.
BEACH CLUBS.
Many times we want to go and enjoy the beach in a more comfortable way, so we are going to recommend some beach clubs near our location and you won't have to take anything other than your credit card or some dollars in cash.
CHICABAL.-The first of these is the luxurious CHICABAL beach club, located in the Peninsula shopping mall. We recommend calling to make a reservation. This place is quite expensive, but it's a world-class beach club with the most exotic drinks, a DJ, fireworks, and international food. You can find influencers, artists, and many luxury lifestyle celebrities.
FLAMINGOS BEACH CLUB.- You have to look for it as it is on maps, because there are many places with the same name. This beach club is located on Calle Febronio Uribe LB, Las Glorias, Puerto Vallarta, Jal, next to the Plaza Las Glorias shopping mall. It's a pretty good option and the price is moderate, a good recommendation to rest, listen to good music and let yourself be pampered.
MANGOS BEACH CLUB.- This beach club is located right in the heart of the city, in downtown Puerto Vallarta, enjoy good food, spend a pleasant day and why not, it can be the beginning of the adventure to walk from there to the Malecon.
RHYTHMS BEACH CAFÉ LGBT.- This LGBT beach club is an option in low to moderate prices, with good food options and being able to rest, listen to good music, without the pretentiousness of other beach clubs. You can meet many new friends from all over the world.
MANTAMAR LGBT CLUB BAR & SUSHI.- This is one of the most famous beach clubs in the city. The main reference is that you will always have a fun day, with a DJ, good food, mixology and luxury. You'll never cease to be surprised here. We recommend following its social networks to see events, parties, and above all, you can meet an artist or influencer from the LGBT community.
BLUE CHAIRS LGBT. The oldest beach club, in our personal experience, is not the best service, but you can find new friends and above all it is the door to the entire LGBT beach area in Puerto Vallarta.
ZONA ROMANTICA
The Romantic Zone is famous for its bustling LGBT community. Here you can find plenty of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. It is extremely touristy because its colorful offerings and fun make it so you always have an option to entertain yourself.
NIGHTCLUBS - DISCOS - CLUBS
Near our apartment you will find the best clubs in the city, the best of them STRANA, where you will surely feel like you are at a party in IBIZA or LAS VEGAS, let yourself be carried away by the party until dawn, it has an after party. There are also the LA SANTA, DOROTY, and CHICABAL nightclubs.
DAY PASS AT HOTELS
Most hotels have an option available to spend the day by paying a day pass. Look for options or contact us to give you the current options of family beach clubs.
EL MALECON
The tourist area par excellence, with the most beautiful pier on the Pacific, shops, a colorful atmosphere, Mexican neighborhoods, beautiful churches, and a great gastronomic and entertainment offering can be found in this area. It is essential that you come and spend at least one day here, shopping, eating and going out for drinks at night, it is always a good option.
AIRPORT
The airport is only a 15-minute drive or taxi ride away, and you can do it in about 30 minutes by public transport.
