Our host was warm, welcoming, great conversationalist and graciously shared her home with us. The room was cosy, clean and quiet as was the neighborhood. Carolyn had a wealth of information about the town and various venues, resources etc. we loved staying in her place and will stay with her in the future.
Carolyn was the perfect host!! She was home when we arrived in early afternoon, showed us our beautiful room that looked out onto a lovely bit of yard filled with tall pines. The bed was well dressed and comfortable, and the bathroom was completely appointed. We had come to see a Pink Martini concert and she showed us the best way to walk to the venue. We ate our breakfast at her table and were on way to an early hike that she also recommended. Thank you so much!!! I will definitely return and without hestitation can refer my friends to her capable hands.
Carolyn was extremely welcoming, showing more kindness and generosity than we could have ever asked for. She was a wonderful host, serving us coffee in the morning and letting us use her kitchen. She even went out of her way to get cream for my coffee, which was much appreciated. Best host we have ever stayed with!
Great accommodations, excellent host. Carolyn was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Carolyn was awesome! Thanks again for everything, hope to visit Bend again soon!
Carolyn's lovely house is located in a quiet residential area about 5 minutes drive from downtown Bend, the river and the Old Mill district, and is within walking distance of various restaurants, coffee shops and microbreweries. The bedroom is large and airy; nicely decorated; immaculately clean; has a very comfortable bed; plenty of space to keep things; and sliding doors giving onto a little deck with chairs overlooking the garden. The bathroom has a bath with shower overhead, plenty of hot water, lots of towels and all necessary toiletries.
Carolyn is delightful. Welcoming, full of fun and laughter, warm and friendly, helpful in every way, relaxed and easy going, and both interesting and interested in the world around. We had some great conversations and a wonderful stay and would love to come back some time.
Carolyn was a perfect host. The townhouse is conveniently located close to downtown and The Old Mill district. The bedroom was quiet, clean, and perfect for a two night stay in Bend while I was in town for a wedding. I slept beautifully with the windows open, and wish I had more time to enjoy the deck and scenery. I came and went at my leisure, but when I was at the house, I enjoyed chatting with Carolyn. Carolyn and her home are both incredibly welcoming. If you need a place to crash and a lovely soul to engage with while you come and go, Carolyn's place is an excellent choice!
About the Host, Carolyn
I am an active senior. I love to walk, bike, hike, yoga, cook and entertain. I can't live without my radio which is always tuned to OPB, walking one of our many river trails, being with friends, family, and just enjoying life. One of my children lives in Holland and I love to visit her. Easy going and pretty relaxed best describes me. I love to be spontaneous and when I travel it is best not to have a schedule. I like to explore, that satisfies my curious nature. Always willing to try something new. The only house rule that I have is "don't put my knives in the dishwasher". Yoga is my grounding and helps me keep my sanity. Nothing better than a great meal and a good bottle of wine. My home is your home so enjoy.....
