Carolyn is very kind and knowledgeable about Bend. We really enjoyed our quick stay with her.
Carolyn was a wonderful host! We stayed in Bend for just one night. Communication with her was very prompt/easy. She gave great restaurant recommendations in town and even pulled out a map and made driving recommendations for getting to Crater Lake in the wintertime. The room was immaculate. We loved our stay.
Carolyn is a such nice, sweet and wonderful lady! As the moment we stepped in her house, she immediately made us feel like home. The room is very neat and comfy. She prepared everything we need: abundant towels, body wash, conditioner, shampoo and even the organic one. The night we spent was very cold in Bend, but she prepared a nice down quilt and heater, so we got very warm! She gave us lots of information about local restaurants, shops and others. Plus, it is very enjoyable talking to her because she is very knowledgeable:) I mentioned that I liked the fritters I ordered in the restaurant, I found the sweet and delicious fritters at the door of our room that she made for us! We were so touched! Thank you so much, Carolyn! We will definitely come back if we visited Bend again.
What an amazing hostess!!! Took us in and made us feel right at home. Told us about her great city and offered to babysit or newborn upon return. We loved it and can't wait to get back, Carolyn!!
Carolyn was sweet and welcoming. The room was exactly as described, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. We had a private attached bathroom. Carolyn was also supremely accommodating of our special circumstance - we had a last minute tag along on our road trip. She was also very quick with communication. Her home was in a cute, quiet residential neighborhood, and about a 10 minute drive to downtown Bend, with a handful of restaurants even closer. Lovely place to stay - highly recommended.
One word recap of my 5 day stay: perfect! The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, located right off the foyer for easy access, yet lower level on backside of house, so it was ultra quiet conditions for sleeping. Private bath access from bedroom is ideal.
The common area of her home is wonderful - homey with creative decor, and her kitchen is a haven of culinary expertise - it was fun to watch her in action whipping up meals for clients outside her home (and if you wander into the kitchen at the right time, you may get to sample!).
Best of all, Carolyn is a terrific host - because she is so involved in the community (arts, culinary, civic), she has deep insider knowledge of things to see and do in Bend. Having lived in Bend for 24 years, she's very proud of her community, and glad to share her insights. Her home is located in close proximity to the river trail, downtown Bend, and the best bakery (Village Baker) and great coffeehouse (Backporch), and don't get me started on the many micro breweries! For the guest who wants to come and go as they please, Carolyn could not be more accommodating.
As a first time Airbnb guest, I was elated with the experience - Carolyn is the role model host!
Carolyn is a wonderful host. She was very flexible with our arrival time and made us feel so welcome during our five night stay. Carolyn was very helpful with suggestions for dining and sightseeing. She made a space for our food in her frig. and invited us to have our breakfast in her gracious dining room. The stunning spruce trees on her property were visible from all the rooms. We especially enjoyed looking at them during breakfast. While she is a great conversationalist, she respected our privacy.
Our bedroom and bathroom suite were decorated in a quiet manner with calming pastel colors. It was a relaxing space to return to after a busy day.
The cotton bed sheets were very soft! The bathroom towels were plentiful and absorbent. We appreciated the organic cleansing products she provided.
Her home is close to downtown, the river that flows through town, restaurants and an amazing bakery just a few blocks away. And much more.
We feel so fortunate to have selected Carolyn as our host in Bend.
We would definitely
I am an active senior. I love to walk, bike, hike, yoga, cook and entertain. I can't live without my radio which is always tuned to OPB, walking one of our many river trails, being with friends, family, and just enjoying life. One of my children lives in Holland and I love to visit her. Easy going and pretty relaxed best describes me. I love to be spontaneous and when I travel it is best not to have a schedule. I like to explore, that satisfies my curious nature. Always willing to try something new. The only house rule that I have is "don't put my knives in the dishwasher". Yoga is my grounding and helps me keep my sanity. Nothing better than a great meal and a good bottle of wine. My home is your home so enjoy.....
