I am offering a comfortable double room with own bathroom in a light and airy contemporary home with stunning ocean views.
You will be 2 minutes ride away from magnificent New Brighton Beach, a world class golf course and the charming seaside village of Brunswick Heads with its eateries and interesting shops. Byron Bay and Mullumbimby are a 15 minute ride away. Very convenient for Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Bluesfest. Shuttle busses are available a block away.
You are welcome to use the well equipped kitchen for light cooking or I can treat you with a yummy breakfast made from mainly local ingredients (for a small charge). Other meals, picnic hampers, blissful massage and pottery classes are available by arrangement. Wifi, offstreet parking and laundry facilities are available.
Ocean Shores is located between two airports, Ballina Airport to the south which has daily flights to Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast Airport which has daily services to most major Australian cities and a few international destinations. It is strongly suggested that you have a vehicle as public transport is minimal (except for festivals- there are shuttle busses)
I love meeting new people and sharing this wonderful part of the world with them. Welcome to my home!
No Rules as such- just mutual respect- there is no other way
I really enjoyed my time with Louise in Ocean shores. A beautiful room, great view, own bathroom, nice and tidy and great conversations. The local shops are a short walk and a bus stop to surrounding towns. Louise is a lovely host and makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. I had everything I needed and loved the view from her balcony to the water. Sitting there with a tea is lovely. I would definitely return to visit again - thanks again Louise for a great stay!
Louise was very welcoming and helpful. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the ocean and a short drive to Alexandra Heads/Byron/Banglow and so on.
Louise was an amazing host - I only met her briefly but she was very warm and friendly. The room is perfect, very clean and quiet and the house is bright, airy and has a really relaxed feel. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend Louise as a host!
Louise made us feel very welcome. Louise showed us where everything was and provided additional information on the area. She has a low key approach which suits us. The room was clean and well maintained. It is well represented by the photos. We will definitely be back. Thanks Louise!
I was made to feel very welcome. My accommodation was perfect for my needs. The bedroom with ensuite was quiet and secluded from the rest of the house and came with ambient white noise from the sea. Nestled high on the hill there was always a gentle sea breeze and a great view - I would love to return!
Louise was warm and welcoming and my room downstairs was peaceful and private with own bathroom. This was my first Airbnb and I'd certainly recommend it and would stay again. Thanks Louise.
Very beautiful accommodation close to shops in Ocean Shores with stunning views and sunrise. Louise is very warm and welcoming and helpful. Recommended!

About the Host, Louise
Hi, moved to this area from the city 11 years ago and have never looked back. I am a good host- ie attentive without being overbearing- it's your holiday after all! I am fun to be with and have good local knowledge so information about where to go and what to do is a cinch.
I have a strong interest in more sustainable living and have designed my passive solar home with this in mind. .
Try to shop locally wherever possible and am a great fan of 2nd hand stores.
The fine fresh produce which is available at the 2 weekly local farmer's markets, forms the basis for my culinary creations.
Independant media is important to me and I have been a volunteer at our local community radio station Bayfm - (listen online, it's great!) for about six years. I have ecclectic musical tastes and listen to most things eccept for tacky pop and yee haw country
I have not been traveling for some years, but it is my intention to travel to Italy and South Africa later in the year. In the mean time, it would be great to see the rest of the world through your eyes and share this slice of paradise with you. Cheers, Louise.
