We loved this cottage and Jay and Linda! It was hard to leave. Really enjoyed everything from the hot tub to the deck to the concert memorabilia on the walls. Truly an excellent place from excellent hosts. Jay and Linda were very laid back and friendly. My girlfriend and I hope to be back again soon. It was a really convenient place to stay while we were doing some surfing in Santa Cruz. Thanks Jay and Linda for sharing this wonderful slice of awesomeness!
Jay and Linda's place was absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time. It was a mini getaway for us and this place felt like a little slice of heaven. We sat in the hot tub under the redwoods every night and then enjoyed a warm fire inside.
Jay and Linda welcomed us when we arrived and made us feel at home, and then gave us complete privacy whilst letting us know we could contact them if we needed anything. It was perfect.
Thank you so much Jay and Linda!
This was the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway! The cottage was lovely and well-kept, and situated in a beautiful area outside the hustle and bustle of the city. We had everything we needed -- sunshine, quiet, a grill, kitchen supplies, a cozy place to nap, a private jacuzzi in the middle of a redwood grove, a great sound system for music, and even WiFi for when we did have to check in with work. Jay and Linda were lovely to chat with, very accommodating and helped us feel comfortable. I'd come back in a heartbeat!
I have nothing but amazing things to say about staying at the cottage! It was the best way to spend my 35-th birthday and my 14 month old was in heaven surrounded by the tall trees, collecting acorns and taking an epic bath in the hot tub on the deck under the canopy of the beautiful redwoods. Our favorite part was eating our meals on the beautiful deck and an relaxing hiking trail within walking distance. The cottage is on the same property as the hosts, and I found this to be a pro. Being used to the city, it was nice to know there were people close-by if we needed them. Not to mention, Jay and Linda are lovely and warm and we really enjoyed meeting them. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing time, nestled directly in the redwoods, book this cottage now! We will be back soon! Thanks Jay and Linda for a beautiful time :-)
Awesome home in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains. Linda was great during check-in and showed us all the how-to's of the place. Otherwise, we were left to enjoy the home. A perfect getaway for some peace and quiet. Enjoyed the sound system and the CD collection as well as the tub on the deck. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had an amazing weekend at Jay and Linda's cottage. It was a cozy place with all the conveniences that one might need on a vacation. We loved waking up in the morning to the sound of a woodpecker with light streaming down the skylights. The wooden deck is magnificent, constructed around redwood trees quite literally.
Our hosts were a warm and engaging couple who gave us just the right amount of privacy. The cottage exudes the same attitude and made our weekend outing a memorable experience. A big thank you to Linda and Jay!
