About this listing
Very nice, new and comfortable Wi-Fi and internet apartment in the heart of downtown. Next to Santa Lucia hill, the apartment is located on Lastarria, a beautiful and bohemian street in one of the oldest neighborhood in the city. There are a lot of nice restaurants around and Gabriel Mistal Cultural Center is across the street.
Bellas Artes, the biggest Chilean museum and Parque Forestal, are a few blocks distance.
The apartment is very clean has a lot of light and is just renovated with brand new furniture. The bulding has a 24 hours doorman and a swimming pool on the roof. Public transportation is around the corner including Subway and bus.
On a clear day, fresh after winter showers, Santiago basks in one of the most spectacular settings of any city in the world. A glance through the downtown blocks reveals a mighty circle of mountains - the snowcapped Andean peaks to the east, and a smaller coastal range to the west - that frames the Chilean capital.
A clear day, however, is rare in this smog-blighted metropolis. In art class, Santiago school-kids draw their horizons a murky gray and, although the air has cleared somewhat in recent years, pollution and noise are likely to cloud your first impressions, especially in winter.
Karen was more than a perfect host in that her apartment building did not have electricity for a temporary time because of a freak gas leak at another location in the building yet she was able to relocate us to another apartment in a seamless fashion. She then checked on us over the next few days and made sure we were comfortable. Even though we were unable to stay in her apartment, the location was the best in the city.
This was our first ever stay at an Airbnb home and thankfully, we picked an excellent host. Karen went, in my opinion, beyond the call in making sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. It was a nice touch to have space heaters in the rooms and the use of her bodega was especially helpful since we decided to extend our stay after a 3-day trip to Atacama. Karen also arranged to have a trustworthy driver to bring us to and from the airport as well as to Valparaiso. Having this piece of mind made our family vacation in Chile a memorable one…Mil gracias, Karen!
No podria ver mejor localidad. Totalmente recomendado.
O apartamento é muito bem localizado, 1 quadra do metrô Univ. Chile, 6 quadras do La Moneda. Adoramos a estadia e super recomendo.
